Hi there,

I really hope I didn't miss this in one of the FAQ's, sorry if I did!

I'm at 3/2/2/4 Creature Handler. I've been working especially hard towards MCH ever since I heard about the new XP requirements in the CU. I really want to master before that is added.

My current level is 39, I believe, and my best pet currently is a level 35 Graul with 9.7k HAM. My weakest full grown pet is a level 12 Female Kaadu. I have a few babies that will be higher level than that once full grown.

What would be the best thing to go after for my CH xp? I have no combat skills of my own, *just* CH.

Thank you for any help you can provide!

Endor is a good place.

Problem with grindingis you will get more xp the lower the level your own pet is. So if you can get a good mid lvl pet 20-40 that will tank you can head to places like the Squill Caves on Tat, or just general places that will give good creatures to kill. I found that rather than Geo which are to tight for pets really, go to the poi Blue Leaf Temple if I remember rightly the place is usually swarming with high level Klikniks which also give reasonably good loot.

If you want some cash as well though, head to Naboo and do Bol/Fambaa missions, they give good xp and if you milk them most chefs will buy the milk at a reasonable rate (maybe up to 25-30cpu). They are easy and if you go in group with lower level people you can all benefit, I enjoyed grinding CH that way.

With a lvl 39 (or close) pet don't worry about a group if you cant find one, actually at this level for 2 pets if you have management and go to the warren. Its bugged right now and spawning like crazy, tons of jedi there too with bounty hunters waiting out front, I guess its worth the extra xp vs bh death lol.

Your pets only need one strike in and with that many people around you shouldn't find it too tough. I did it alone unbuffed no armor with 2 pets last year and survived. although stims help lol. dont store your pets if you go because you cant call them inside. but you should do well there.

If you are going to use a low level creature, make it a creature below lvl 10. ANd maybe a hermit spider. I get a bonus for each one I kill outside of coro by about 20%. Only with my hermit spider.

I was going to say, find a place where you can comfortably kill mobs by yourself, then set your pet to guard you. Kill the mobs like you normally would and the pet will take care of the CH XP. What I'm doing right now is taking my level 7 rock beetle to Endor near the Smuggler's Outpost and killing stuff. Since I'm a TK Master I can pretty much take on anything on Endor with ease. Kill one mob at a time so your pet has a chance to attack each. It's best to use one that has ranged attack so they can stand back (out of range) and attack while you do the dirty work. I can get 300-600 XP per kill, which adds up quickly. When I hit all 4's I'll probably head to Dath and hunt rancors, which should kick my XP up into the 1000 XP per kill range.

If you don't have a combat profession that allows you to handle mobs on your own then you could grind smaller mobs near cities. My favorite spot is Kaadara, Naboo. Go there with a low level pet and do Skaak Tipper Muggers or any of the low level creatures. Yes, it's only 100 XP per, but it's better than nothing. You can also find some mobs to give you 100-400 XP to the south of Kaadara, near the mountain range.

You could always go to Bestine and head southwest toward Wayfar. Between the two cities there are plenty of babies to tame. At 100 XP per tame and 100 XP per trained command the XP adds up. This is a good non-violent way of making XP.

Another thing you can do is grind easy-to-master Elite professions like TK and Swordsman. You can then use those easily earned Elite points toward CH when the CU hits and you get to respec. This is an easier way than say grinding out CH with Pistoleer or some other slow-killing combat profession. In other words, build up XP for an Elite profession that is easy and quick to grind, then use those points for CH when the CU hits, because you'll be able to respec those Elite points where you want them... i.e. in the CH tree.
