Thread: CU Bug? Static spawns = only 1 round

In my continuing search to find a halfway decent pet to test with, I headed to Corellia to look for some cats. Heading to the beaches to the east, where I normally find tons of crimson and regular razor cats, I found a few static (meaning no lair) spawns of crimson razor cats. I proceded to dispatch the spawns in the area to await a respawn.

There wasn't one.

Instead, a new spawn altogether loaded in it's place. I was able to repeat this multiple times. I kill all the initial spawns, and the entire thing is replaced by a new lair/spawn/whatever.

So no more 4 round cycles to static spawns? Is this a bug or intended? If intended, how are we supposed to find and tame creatures that don't have lairs? Especially the really rare spawns like the GPS that don't ever ever have babies on the first spawn?

Oh, and without a way to 'peace' now how do you tap a lair? I haven't been able to figure it out. It seems to me that there isn't a way other than running out of range.

Lair tapping is kind of essential for pulling babies out of a lair. If we can't stop fighting, we get aggro....

So no one cares that it's not possible to milk spawns or lairs for babiesnow? No one else playing in the CU has experienced this?

In the loadin notes it says that attacking lairs sometimes causes your client to crash. Well I must have
really (bad) luck as it happens ANY time I attack a lair so no more tapping for me till they fix that bug.

I did try sending in my pet to attack the lair and everything was fine (well it would have taken the pet
quite a while to actually kill the lair) till I switched weapons (was not firing). Hello Desktop.

I'm trying to find out if random spawns are "turned on" every where because I seem to find massive amounts of empty space with 0 creatures in it. I'm woundering if spawns are even on

as for the not being able to peace, I've nottived that as well. I buged it in game, as with many other CU issues still waiting to see if it gets fixed, they are proably going to take out the CTD issues before the "peace" issue.

I found that I have to stop every 50m or so to allow stuff to spawn. If I just keep drivin, nothing ever spawns (not even behind me).

I picked up BE to make my own pets are have had some decent results so far. And why they nerfed /peace is absolutely beyond me.

I thought the note was for 'mission' lairs. I've been attacking natural lairs without incident so far... well, aside from the fact that I can't STOP attacking them.

To stop attack click off lair i click ground so you don't have a target and it will stop attack. Also i was able to milk lairs got about 6 pets on lower level still wierd bug when taming high level pets. Found a level 78 dewback tamed baby it was a level 20 when grow. So maybe not balanced yet.

I'm guessing that adultsof any species cannow spawn a version of themselves to matchany player level. So you could theoretically see any creature at any level of difficulty. However, once tamed, you only get the 'true' version which is whatever their natural level is (what they are currently, pre-CU, I guess).

From what I can tell, a creature's 'true' level is determined by itsnatural HAM and damage output, with the artificial level determining whether it gets damage bonuses/defenses versus you or not. So while you could group a level8 mount and make it level 80, it's HAM is still going to be like 1000 and it's not going to do much damage. However, it won't suffer the huge modifiers to received and applied damage when attacking other creatures above its naturallevel (because it's treated as if it's level 80, just without the HAM and damage of a real level 80 creature).

Any way, that's what it looks like to me so far.
