yea actually I have, even on the forums I see many new names.
I think we got an influx of new people with jtl andaround xmas, This influx of ch's seem to be players who have been here or once were ch.
I think a large percentage is a result of the curb and people see something to the're advantage on taking it up or older ch's who dropped it see a viability again. I think many are going to be disapointed lol.
In a few months the numbers will probablybe dropping

I sure have noticed more CH walking about, it's nearly equal with other proffesions in density sometimes now....and there are about 6 times the number of CH on this board, it's way more active than before. Most of the time when I had to log off at night and came back next afternoon, maybe there were 4 or 5 new threads, now there's nearly 20 :/.

I knew ALOT of MCH's who dropped the prof and ar ecoming back, and I see a great many new (Novice Creature Handler) tags asking me for training, pets, and stim packs. I normally help other CH's out by taking them and showing them how to hunt, and how to effectively use their pets in a fight, but lately, there are just too many to do that with.

Yeah it has become pretty commonplace for me to train noob CH's. But that may be due to the fact that I have taken over SameaulLebeau's spot in Coronet. I know he must have trained me at least half my boxes on the way to master. Now I guess the student has literally become the teacher. I hope there are a thousand more than join us. As long as they are the one's we have now, honest players honestly interested in the profession.
We are lucky because we have a profession that is so monumentally hard to grind that we only keep the best of the crop. Those who only want to be able to use a Rancor never last, and those who would never destroy a Peko Peko always stay with us forever. Even if only in spirit, those who have dropped their skils often are still a CH in their hearts. So let's all make sure to make these new members feel at home, but let's also not coddle them too much so that nature can weed out the bad seeds.

ya know I was just thinking thr same thing.
I think it may have had to do with the solo-group nerf. I know I can pull the same level missions with my pets as I could with a full group. i figured that that was part of the reason.
I have seen the pets mostly abandoned near mission terms.
I have seen a lot more people with the titles above their heads though.

Well with any game as old and tired as this one you will see an influx of new players. I call this the "Markdown Rack Effect".
At any given time a good percentage of the gaming world is made up of a group that buys games based upon their price. These people come in many forms. Some are just plain cheap, others are old schoolers who believe in replay value and refuse to buy a new game because they are told to, and there are also those who just never could afford the game until now. These people start to filter into a game once it starts it's decline. They decide to finally buy the game for whatever their reason is.
It is likely we are starting to see the beginning of their infiltration. As far as seeing more CH's on my server I cannot tell you either way. I know most of the CH's on Bria but the overall number is staggering compared to most other servers. I can right now easily list for you the names of at least 30 of them that I speak to regularly, and there are likely alot more I don't.
So remember, you may have been playing it forever but it is still a new game to someone.

I have seen a lot of new CH's on Intrepid.
I always wanted to be a CH since launch.....no real reason because of the CURB.....
