Thread: Stims and pets after the CU? UPDATED 4-18-05 after testing on TCEP3
Healing/Doctor/CM Changes
- Medical crafting will be handled by the crafting line in Medic as well as Bio-Engineers.
- Doctors will have enhanced abilities that are enhanced with the use of consumables called enhancers.
- Enhancers are on a 1000 point scale - the higher the number the better.
- The quality of Enhancer charges will vary per ability. We are aiming for an average of ~20%.
- We are adding craftable stimulant packs (stims) that can be used by anyone. Stims are one shot consumables that require no skill boxes to use.
- The use of the different stims will be determined by the player’s combat level. (i.e., novice players will be able to use the lower level stims while the elite players will be able to use the higher level stims)
- Players will use stims by double clicking them. Each use will consume one charge. Each use has an associated cool-down time.
- Stims can modify your health ~10%. You can’t use your stims to heal someone else.
That last line about "You can't use your stims to heal someone else" has me a bit worried.
Does this also mean we won't be able to use those stims on our pets?
Will we still have Pet stims after the CU?
Also what about new CH's? Looks like they will only be able to use less powerful stims until they gain more skills. So even if we can use our stims on our pets for a new CH it will be tougher to fully heal their pets?
Just curious about these things.

OK I logged on to TCEP3 tonight and used the Frog to set my char to Master CH/Master Rifleman as he is on live. Also have Novice Medic for Bacta heal.
Grabbed some stim D's from frog.Trained my level 5 lesser dewback and level 8 plodding falumpaset mounts and headed to Theed.
Once thereI grouped up with both pets and started attacking the stormtrooper NPC's. After combat tried to heal my pets.
I could use Bacta heal on them just fine. However the stim D's always gave the message "you do not have any damage to heal".
So it looks like this is either a bug -or- intended and we cannot use stim's on our pets anymore.

I don't know about you all, but Ch is not a common class pet stims are hard to find on my server and when they are they are 3k for a stim C at 30 charges.
I took pharm 4 and use 40 med use stim D at 3k per stim and 58-60 charges per stim.
So when I can find pet stims they cost twice as much so I depend on healing my pets with regular stims. I don't see that changing unless CH is more viable of a profession. Lets face it crafters make what sells and i fthe profession count is weak you dont see many and prices get inflated
