FYI, CTD = Crash to Desktop
I made MCH a few weeks ago. I started the game nearly 2 years ago as an aspiring BE/CH. The infamous Christmas holocrons caused me to wander from the path.
So after I made MCH, I decided to start hunting rares and 'want to haves'. The first semi-easy one was the Prowling gurreck. I knew where they spawned because of my BE alt. No problem, tamed in less than an hour. Next, I moved on to the Swamp Stalker. Living in a player city outside Moenia, I knew these guys as well. Tamed in 2 days.
At this point, I wanted a big challenge. The GPS seemed a perfect fit. So, I went to SWGcreatures.com and set a few WPs around the generic spawning area. But, I didnt have time to look......Last night, had about an hour of play time. After half an hour, I had all my factories and harvestors running. Time for a quick run for Doaba to Coronet.
Mount up on my Speeder and head out.....500m later, CTD. Its been happening frequently.....anyways, get back in game. Mount up.....500m later CTD!!!! This is getting irritating....I want to quit for the night but I dont want to logout in the middle of nowhere. So login and get back on the bike....500m later......single agressive red-con.......sweet, my first GPS spawn.
Dismount, call my BE razor cat....take the first one down. Easy, this should be quick. Second one spawns on the run. It mows through a few butterflies. I send my cat to chase it......and I run into a spawn of agressive NPCs. Not to good considering I am unbuffed. Mount up, /tellpet follow. luckily the cats battle and keep up with me while I ditch Nyax's boys.....dismount, put the second GPS to rest.
Store my Razor cat, mount my bike ( so, I dont accidently fire on a baby ) and........ CTD....G*&(*&#)*&$()#*$. You've got to be kidding me....someone could be poaching my spawn. Furiously mashing keys to get back in game....whats that??? I yellow con where the GPS spawned?
.....tab to verify it..........CTD........Mother ******........pounding keys to get back in game. Finally, arrive and its still there. 'a great plains stalker( baby )' .....move in to tame.......FAIL....the cat runs....but then calms again.....move in to tame and .......... SUCCESS.... store, CTD.....Son-of-a-******.......
But, I cant be upset. I just tamed a rare pet on my very first spawn. That was more fun than I have had in a long time....it doesnt quite make up for auctioning my first real tame. I miss my 'a plains hunter (baby)' but the GPS should be a nice pet to issue in my next era as a CH. The only question is, should I name it CTD or Crash?

omg! lol that sounds exactly like what happened to me! i crashed twice on my way to tame my bull rancor baby. i think is a evil trick the devs play on us poor CH's. but anyways congrats
i love my GPS. im a fan of the cats
