Creature Handler Archive
Thread: Creature Knowledge as Ranger and CH
Look at it this way:
You only need a basic knowledge of creatures to handle them (Hunting IV pre-requisite). The Ranger skills are going into much more detail, so if you want that knowledge then you'll have to learn it, it's a related, but different skill.
Kind of like driving a car (Oh No! Another car analogy). You need a basic mechanical knowledge to keepa car running if you drive (i.e. where the petrol goes in), but further knowledge is optional - like where the oil and water goes in (you can pay someone else to do that!).
As an addendum - you should knowby now that asking for things like this is dangerous:
"Hmm, they're right. Creature Handlers should know more about thier pets. Let's make Master Scout a pre-requisite for CH!"

I've been saying this eversince the '"tame levels" skillmod went into place.
The devskind of made it necessary to see the CL of a creature when we examine ever since they made that change.
Now that we can command specials too, it kind of makes sense see those also.
Vertexon, if you're reading this:
is there any way we can get an answer from the devs on this?
after they are tamed you can see their current level and max level if they are growing. its in the datapad info.

yep.
In fact, that's exactly what I do, so it's not like a big deal or anything.
Of course, if I can get the infowith alt-tab, then what's the harm in having it in game?
