• does this act as a stand-alone figure equivilent to my taming ability and is this what is used in place of the taming ability on vicous creatures? (ie. +10 vicous means i can tame a level 10 vicous creature)


• or is it related to the ferocity?

What I believe (and others may correct me), is that although Taming 2 allows you to tame vicious mobs, the highest level mob you can tame is still determined by your max pet level. I'm not sure how the numbers work out, but the more blocks in your taming tree you acquire, the higher your chance of taming a vicious ceature. I believe it is something to do with the ferocity of the creature, but I'm not exactly sure how this is calculated. For instance, when I hit CL 31, I went out to tame a Merek Assassin (a CL 31 mob), but every single attempt failed. I must have tried about 30 times on various babies. When I hit CL 34 after acquiring Taming 3 (and so giving me an extra +15 to taming vicious creatures, I believe), I went back to Endor and got one on the 2nd attempt.
Does that make it any clearer?

ok, thanks - its a little clearer now

that means it cant be used as a seperate measure on its own, so i guess its something like your standard taming with the vicous number being a bonus to your chance to tame an aggressive thing, ok
