Hello people, this is another Master Creature Handler leaving the game, in disgust.
I have been part of a wonderful group of people, both CH and Non CH. I have seen and done many things, and met many wonderful people. Unfortunatly, I have good reasons for leaving.
- My mom just came out of the hosptial today. She needs my help for the next 2 months.
- My grandparents are very sick, and need my comforting as well.
- I have 3 hard Classes to study for 2 majors and a world language class
- Need to prepare to move
- Need to deal with jerks in my high school
- Need to recooperate from Election loss
- Customer Service very poor
- Tickets Closed without comment
- Rudely hanged up on calling 1-888-STAR
- Abused by a CSR in Live chat
- ignored on issues
- told to buy a card that helped nothing with the pet silence.
I wont be giving any of my things away. However I have things to say to a few people.
The Creature Handler Community::
I have gone to my limit. I can no longer stand SOE running this game, and making us the most hated, disgusted profession in the game. We have bugs not fixed since December 2003. All sony wants is money money, and more money. I love my pets sincerely, and It is hard departing them and all of my friends.
To Aaragorhn:
M8, we have become really close friends, and I want to remain so. I know you have moved on to Everquest 2 and maybe so will I. We met through early beginnings, and we ran a sucessful city for a few good months.Even after that we helped each other and still interacted with friends. I am going to miss you a lot m8, and I still want to be good friends.
To Chelski:
M8, we have become close m8s too. I had fun with you all the time in-game, and you were always there for me. Thanks for all the thing you've given me for free, and thanks for protecting my butt when i needed it.
To Faas'li;
M8, we have become very close as well. I had a wonderful time with you Faas, and improving my education on the Dutch Culture. While I never understand most of it, I cauught on, and enjoyed learning.
To Guns and Azzel:
Thanks for being there for me guys. Guns, your a great fellow MCH, and I learned a lot of great things from you. However I didn't get to know Azzel very well, and i wish you both best of luck.
To Ssidosc:
We came close m8, but further apart lately. I want to spend time with you the most before I go. I still think of you always as my m8 and friend.
To Neil:
What can I say, we are great m8s! You and I did many things together, and we helped each other out by making money between pet sales. We did a lot of great things, and remember Neil, I will always accept you as a m8 and a person.
To Vertexon:
Thank you for actually caring about this community, and trying to help us out i appreciate it.
I will be closing my account at thebeginning of thenew year, unless a few things change by then. For now its goodbye, Ill only be here for another month or so, i may as well not log on much. I hope I do ok IRL, and I wish everyone in this game, except Customer Service, the best of luck.

hehe, no kidding. I hate seeing people leave. I can't say I blame you, though. My account is up on the 27th of November. I think the Customer Service has wore a bunch of us out. SOE needs to address the CSR issues more than the Jedi issues, or the JTL issues.
Being a new CH at the end of my account kinda hurts. I missed out on a lot of things. This is one profession, bugs or no bugs, that has the highest fun-factor. It's too bad we take a back seat to the weapon users and the Jedi.
My heart goes out to your family. I truly hope everything works out for the best, and you will all be in my prayers.

Good luck with everything, Jade, and I pray that your family gets better. It's always sad seeing another Creature Handler, Master or not, leave.

Not often we CH see a good-bye letter that contains real life reasons as well as game mechanic reasons for leaving. It should be much easier to cope with your real life dilemmas without the constant gnawing of some of the failed principles of the game.
May you find solace in your journey. I do not know you well but your recent postings here have contained insight and care for the profession.
Maybe it will bring you some sort of peace to realize that we CH cannot change the profession but you can change the comfort level of your loved ones. The game is meant to be a pleasurable distraction. There is higher pleasure in feelings and moral sentiments that you can give to others, Those type pleasures ought to make you feel better in the long run.

Good luck with your RL problems- I had a pretty bad year last year but it gets easier slowly (really it does).
Well i can only hope that some time in the future your RL situation is good enough you can come back to SWG to find that CH has become the class it should have been for so long

Good luck. Games sometime seem important until RL comes crashing in.
