This may sound like a silly question but i remember someone mentioning it a while ago. Let's say i tame a pet thata non-CH couldn't hold cause it's too high level, is there any way of lowering it so i can give it to my friends to show off with?

No, there is no way to lower the pet level of a tamed pet with the exception of the Greater Carrion Spat and he is agro creature You can stop it's growth if it is mounted. The creatureexchange from when non-ch pets went from CL 15 to CL 10 may still work but it tries to change it to a level 10 creature of the same type. So, a Bol would be changed to a Lesser Plains Bol. You would be better off just taming the level 10 creature yourself.

ok... but having said that, how come a friend of mine who is not a CH has a lvl 10 razorcat? It was given to him so he couldn't answer the question himself. Any ideas?

Razor cat is one of the "skins" Bio-Engineers can put on their bio-engineered pet creations. So it would look, sound, and move like a razorcat... but its stats and level are totally dependent on the DNA and experimentation the Bio-Engineer used.
