I did a forum search and found a nice thread on how to create a looping macro for pet specials, but I'm having a few problems. My macro is called PetSpecials and looks like this:

/tellpet special one;

/pause 0.5;

/tellpet special two;

/pause 0.5;

/macro PetSpecials;

I just ran an 18k Mokk mission and used a wild rancor. At first, the macro seemed to work perfectly. My rancor spammed specials on the first Mokk scout so both Stunning Strike and Intimidate were on the Mokk throughout the fight. I was very excited.

Problem No. 1: I had my rancor attack the 2nd Mokk scout, pressed my PetSpecials macro, and no specials would stick even though my rancor was spamming them. I hit follow to back him off and then hit the PetSpecials macro. His specialslanded after that.

Problem No. 2: I finished the Mokk mission and called my bike to move to the next mission. There were non-aggro pickets nearby... next thing I know, my rancor takes off after the pickets so now I have 3 pickets to kill. After we kill those, I try to call my bike again. What happens? My rancor starts running off to kill more pickets that are over 64m away. I finally had to drag him into the middle of nowhere (by spamming follow) to store him.

Problem No. 3: I finally got my rancor stored and then triedcalling a gurreck to do the 2nd mission. The gurreck called successfully but a steady stream of question marks streamed out of him. Every pet I called after that had the stream of question marks.

I'm guessing that all of these problems are caused by the pet special looping macro filling up the pet combat que.Right? If so,is there a command to clear the pet combat que? Thanks!

yes, use /dump

you might want to hotkey it, and use it offten as any looping macro can get you in a world of trouble

I'm guessing your a bit new to marcos in general. See that macro of yours runs infinitely. It dosn't stop after you kill something, it keeps going. So the instant you target anything you are telling your pet to do specials on it. And if you don't have anything target your are telling it to do specials on nothing which makes it go ?????

You need to stop the macro from running and calling itslef. That's what the /dump command does.

Also, each time you start the macro you have more than one macro running, if you do too many the commands to the pet get so fast it just locks up. Try to only have one version of it running at a time by dumping between uses.
