That's the Gorax, and it's found, you guessed it, on Endor.
There's a quest involved for it that you can probably find with a quick search in Game Guides.

No, they've been in the game all along. If I remember it right you have to get a specific quest on Endor to get it to spawn.

I could have sworn they removed the quest to kill the Gorax. I think people were "abusing" it somehow (How, I don't remember). I think the Gorax is no longer a mission spawn, but there's an area on Endor where they spawn randomly (Haven't found said area yet).

the quest for them now only spawns an arachne. they were indeed removed, at the same time gorax bone shards were put into the game. that would be WHY they were removed.
under normal circumstances now, they're extremely rare spawns in the endor desert.

Ah, okay. I'm not surprised the quest was removed, because I know there had been a huge problem with people camping the general spawn area for the quest. Some person would go trigger it, and a completely unrelated group would jump it before the quest holdercould get there.

The marauder theme park used to spawn gorax as one of the missions. It dosent anymore. The gorax have been spitting out bone shards since last fall, but unlike the krayt dragons. They were excedeingly rare spots. You never here much about them because what they drop is not worth to awful much. It goes in projectile feed mechs as an enhancement. Those inturn only go in a few weapons. FWG5s Tusken rifles rocket launchers striker pistol. Anyway they are enhancements for the least good weapons. So people have never fealt compelled to go get them.
Where to find them. You have a pretty good chance of finding them on endor in the northern plains up in the general area where the krayt dragons are most dominant on tattooine, but they are also like the gurk king. You will need to find a hyandack bone crusher lair. I think thats their name, and camp out that spawn and the last should be a gorax. I guess the real reason people rarely see them. Is most people rarely go farther then a thousand meters from an outpost on endor.
If you want to find one just go to the northern plains on endor. It may take some time but odds are with 3 or 4 hours time you will stumble onto one of the highlevel nest that can spawn them.

well, you obviously haven't seen a striker made from some good gorax shards. i've made a striker pistol from +83 gorax bone shards. got a 26% damage slice to 274 1.9. there isn't a pistoleer, smuggler, or bounty hunter that i've seen yet that hasn't drooled on it. and i'm running out of paper towels.

lol no, they're not boss spawns dude. they're extremely rare random spawns only. not even considering the obvious ridiculousness of a 400k ham creature spawning out of a lair full of 10k ham hanadaks.

HMMM striker pistol a. Well I suppose if your into hunting night sisters a definate plus, but I will stick with 300 max scatter pistol. You know a gun that has solid mods before enhancement, but maybe its your server. Maybe you found some good rare materials, because without those bone shards a striker pistol is a pos. Though I salute your finding some nice bone shards. It would have been much nicer if tusken rifles could go back to kinetic. Then again if you were to get the good krayt and some of those good gorax bone shards. Which by the way the common gorax is plus 30 -.3. So you really got some nice ones there. I would love to see someone such up the loss and make a rocket launcher from those. Might even crack 3000 max damage. I have never seen a blast hit for over. 10000 points of damage. Might make a commando legendary with that kind of hardware.
Asfor the spawn rate and the where of gorax. If you think its just random thats your perogative, but I have seen three or four up in the viscinity I mentioned, and have never seen them in the green. So either it was an extremely bizarre fluke, or they are more apt to spawn there. Asfor the boss spawn method. Um yeah they do do that. Go to endor a few times this week. You will eventually get the intro window. That informs you that some people say the hyandak whatever are said to be servants on the gorax. If they used and do not anymore. I cannot really say. At the time I cannot really say. Though there is a brainstorm there. Maybe the poster should check the swgcreatures for the sightings, and see where most of them pop up. Infact I will go check that now. Come back with the specific page address.

not unless they made rocket launchers easier to make.a rocket launcher requires 9 identical gorax shards. as well as being much of a pain for wses to make, due to the ridiculous componen requirements for them.

and if you, for some reason, think it's a boss spawn, that's YOUR perogative. in fact you're the only person to ever suggest that they do.and that makes ME the one with the brush-off ideas? riiiight.

as i said, you're the only person yet to appear to claim to do this. a claim also along the lines of "i found a <insert random extinct animal name here> baby, but it was killed by <insert random spawn here>, before i could figure out what the print screen button did.". if you're going to pass off what i said like it was nothing, then what argument/proof do you have that would make people believe you instead, other than random claims that haven't been made before?

Its a freaking conspiracy I say lol. Went to creatures, and they did not have a sighting map. But most of the posts refer to the desert being the best place to find them. Though I can admit when I am wrong the beast probabally cannot be pulled from a lair, but they are more apt to be found in and about hyandak drifters atleast. Atleast thats about all I could dig up.
Though the poster should focus his efforts to the desert area on the endor map. Since all the references I checked refer to the desert on endor, and nowhere else. Other then the old marauder spawns.
After checking the info on this guy my god I am happy I didnt dismount and take a pot shot at any of them. Infact I am glad I did not have a single one aggro on me. They seem to like to kill people with one hit, and it has force strike too.
If you killed one of these and didnt use some cheap trick to do it. My hats off to you and the 10 other guys will you. Especially since he supposedly insta breaks pet attacks if you fire on him at all.
