A question to other CH's on eclipse

Do you have any tips of finding bull rancors?

I've spent the last couple of months out on dathomir working from the trade outpost either by myself or with a ranger looking for one of these little suckers. Had no joy at all, however a couple of players I have spoken to keep saying they just killed one and didn't realise how rare they are. Typical.

What am I doing wrong?? I take up a couple of missions to pay for my buffs, then spend the rest of the time flying around tapping every pile of bones/rocks I find to see if they are spawning rancs. Am i looking in the wrong area? typically NW area from the trade op.

Just starting on the rare collecting, so don't know if I am setting my sightes to high, from the creature list I have a Rhoa Kwi Pack Leader, Rhoa Kwi Guardian and a Wasteland Cupa so far, so many, manymore to tame.......

you aren't doing anything wrong..they are just that hard to get..personally i did over 700 missions and as miny wild lairs as i could find...it's a good way to make money..with an acid weapon the missions are quick and pay 18k a pop..i got to the point where i could do 20 in a buffset..from whati have read the spawn rate for bulll babies is .1 or one in a thousand..since 2 more spawn per mission 500 would be about average to see one..i got mine from a wild lair, however...

kepp doing what you are doing, either you will gwet lucky, or the numbers will eventually begin to work in your favor..good luck

Also wondering what type of static spawns are better? One that just spawn bull rancors, or mutant rancors or ancient bull rancors etc. Or does it not matter?

I don't want to be wasting buffs, armor and weapons on the wrong type of lair

the bull is the strongest rancor in the "pile of rocks " you are looking for..one bull..and any combination of rancors and youths..stay away from anything ancient, enraged or mutant..no babies there

What lvl is the "Monsterous Brute" I encountered 1 last week but my buffs were about gone so didnt stay to die

I would recommend doing missions from trade going any direction west. I have successfully tamed 2 bull rancors each being tamed with 300 wild and mission lairs in that direction.

Also would recommend trying to hunt for these everyday through just one buff set lasting approximately 3 hrs. I am not sure of your template but with mine which is master ch/ master riffle can take down at least 10 lairs.

I am also going to bump up my strategy guide for you.

As I tell all creature handlers in BEAST all it takes is time and patience.
