ok... i dont have a lot luck in finding rares but i have been determined to corect this. i have been searching the area on correllia that the wp's on swg.creatures gave me. and no luck. is there anything specific i could do?

the area i am covering includes the POI for lord nynax. hoping our non soe handler correspondent tivo has some pointers for me.

any new reports on the mire maurauder?

I always used to see great plains stalkers right in the middle of Corellia. There are two mesas near there, just east of those is where I usually saw them. I haven't seen a baby however.

To me, the search for this creature was in some respects the most frustrating. The reason for that is due to the difficulty of just finding adult spawns. Though my hunts for Screechers, Widows and the Bull Rancor were longer, finding lairs was not too difficult. At least there was some feeling of accomplishement and not a lot of perceiveddowntime.

With the Great Plains Stalker, that is gone. You wander and wander and wander. Even if you keep track of the ground you have covered, it is difficult because first, you need to travel slow enough to see the spawn. Secondly, there is such a large area of the map to cover. I have heard reports of people seeing the critters anywhere from just north of Tyrena to east of Lord Nyax's bunker. It takes me25 minutes to thoroughly search that dinky swamp on Talus for Mire Marauders. I can't imagine how long it would take me to completely comb central Corellia.

Anyway, I am not tyring to discourage you, just trying to let you know what your in for if you hadn't already. I wish you lots of luck in your search. It is a beautiful cat, but unfortunately does not see much playtime.

But, I take her our when I can.

thks for the info. i have just really begun my rare hunts. i did get a TGG so far. and i like my bark mite burrower collector. i will keep looking.

I have a question. Is the great plainstalker a big kat like a GSP or is he the size ofa medium to small size kat like razor kat?

the Great Plains Stalker is a slightly bigger version of the Crimson Razor Cat. I was looking for one today and had the good fortune to run into one. I killed and respawned it 2 more times but alas no baby, my quest goes on.

i combed all of central correllia with a ranger and not even a glimpse of a razor cat let alone a great plains stalker. i am at a loss now, 2 weeks and the planet is still just about void of spawns until you get close to a city then they are all low lvl animals. so i have headed off to look for my widow. still would appreciate any advice on finding either of these pets. thks.

i feel your pain all, i have tamed all other rares out there....this cat is the most difficult to locate and i have killed many spawns of these cats now and no baby most of my sightings are coming to the west of the POI and everywhere from 600m - 2500m .... i also have narrowed my search a bit to the west side of the POI and now follow the rivers lmost of the time ..south west , west and north west.....i recently have been lucky to get a freind to go out with me and help me scout (master ranger) might be a possiblity if you know a ranger they get a good scan of the creature density up to about 500m in direction. i seem to find these cats alittle faster

I've seen only two ever (South of Nyax on the plains, and NW of the Reb-Imp fight on the plains) and they were both on the prairie terrain. Can somone confirm they've seen them on the stony mesas? Were they actually on top or near the sides? The sides are prairies, the tops I thought were stone. Thanks.

I've only ever saw one, it was chasing a friend of mine into our city (hehe) we killed it but couldn't find the spawn. Our city is 2k north of coronet, and i believe it came from south of our city, so, the spawn was within 2k of coronet if it helps. Can't wait till I get a bull rancor, gaping spider queen, and a freaking Plains Hunter!!! I looked for so freaking long for plains hunters, not a single freaking baby! GRRRRRRRRRRR
