A friend of mine had a BE kaadu for a mount. She tried to call it this evening and was apparently prompted to either raise its level or lower its stats to make it an acceptable level 10 pet.

She chose to lower the stats and instead of shaving off stats until it was a level 10 pet again, it seems to have reset the stats to a generic level 10 pet. No resists and only 900 HAM to each pool.

Is this how it's supposed to work? If your pet is newly deemed unacceptable it loses *all* of the advantages of being a BE pet?

Give me a shadowed forest into which I might disappear.
Give me a terrible foe and stack the odds against me.
Give me friends and creatures with whom I can share my adventures, my losses and my gains.
