Thread: New to the profession...sorta. HELP!

Hello hello hello. I'm planning out my character and master CH barely fits in. Literally. I'll have 4 points left over. No combat skills for me; which isn't that big a deal really.
I'm still forking up the scout trees but I purchased a Kaadu mount and I'm using it to teach me the basics of using a pet in combat. Lesson one turned out to be never fight on a mount.
ANYway, I'm having trouble getting it to listen. Attack always works, tricks work, but I can't get it to follow me. The few times it listens it just walks over and stops.
Is this because I'm not a CH yet? Is it because the guy who trained it gave it 1 letter commands? Is it a bug? HELP!

Mounts are very bugged right now, just be patient. They don't seem to be hearing the follow command well.

While I'm here I might as well ask. What effects the speed of a mount?

Which type it is... all of the different mounts have different speeds. Nothing will effect the speed of one particular mount. So just go for the carrion spats or bols if you want speed. Or the amazing metal bol I like to call a swoop.
