I've been killed with my pets out twice already, and not only did my pets not autostore resulting in immediete vit loss upon my cloning, but after a quick heal they didn't lose vit loss then either! Is anyone else still getting vit loss in PvP, because its stopped for me finally . I was in coronet if it helps, far away from my pets when i cloned...

hmm gotta ask a couple of stupid questions

Did your pets get inc'd by anyone?

Did your pets stop fighting after you died?

the vit loss for me personally never happened unless the pets were incapped while fighting and I cloned.

and in some instances the player would keep incapping the pet long after I cloned for continued vit loss untill you would beg for them to stop, it was a form of griefing imo.

for you this could be a result of the no tef, new system. but vitality may still happen if pets are incapped, hence my questions above.

The first kill was I was incapped, then i waited a second, and then all my pets were fully incapacitated. Then i cloned, and they didn't autostore, and when I got back there they were still incapacitated, so I just healed them and they were fine. The second time only one was incapacitated, the other 2 ran off and were no longer attacked when i cloned and was set to on leave. Even though one of my pets must of poofed somewhere, none of my pets had vit loss like they used to have before these fights.

It might just of been lag in coronet, but im sort of hoping it wasn't, coronet is good for PvP but I wouldn't want to always fight there :/.

its been like this since they removed the damage reduction from pets in PvP. I seem to remember starting a thread on it

Sometime in the past week, I engaged in a PvP duel. I was incapped, deathblowed, and then my pets were incapped. I pretty sure I waited until I saw my pets get incapped before I hit the cloning button. Both my pets lost vitality. So if something has changed, it was a very recent change. I was going to complain (especially since one of the pets was my mantigrue screecher) but I realized that maybe it only *factional* PvP in which pet vitality was supposed to not decay. I certainly would like to have pet vitality loss removed all together (as promised many, many publishes ago).

Then what would BEs do?

They need to make anti decay kits work for pets to make them immune to vitality loss. That way you can preserve that super rare without having to worry about it taking a vitality hit.

It's true that this could theoretically hurt BEs with repeat customers but I think this is unlikely in practice. I'm happy having pets still experience vitality loss in PvE. It's just that in PvP you are exposing your pets to such higher rates of wear and tear. For me, when I PvP it's not a question of *if* I'll get incapped (and therefore also my pets) but of *when* that will happen.
