I know some people will burn me for this but my advice is just take a day to grind. Alot of chs like limping along, and thats cool, but untill you get level 20 your just not going to get to take on the good stuff.

Here is a quick hint on how to get excellent ch xp.

Buy a crate of low level pet stims or make them. You can get by with stim bs too or even stim A for that matter. Go tame a baby womp rat on tattooine. Go to the edge of eisley and fight the critters close to town. You can make 100 points easy for each creature you kill. Remember the pet only has to attack the enemy not kill them. Spend 5 or 6 hours at that. There are a number of bonuses.

1. You get to learn how to handle your pet well, and work on your rhythms. Always important for stim use and tag team combat.

2. You get easy ch xp may not be fun, but remember this is how a novice marksman scout has to start out. Even a level fifteen pet is lightyears ahead of a 10.

3. The faster you get 4 or 5 boxes the faster you can do put it to more difficult and rewarding game.

Hi there!

This is my first time posting on the CH boards but hopefully not my last. I recently returned to the game and ended up re-working my character to a CH/BE combo.

I have a lesser plains bol that a friend got me when mounts came out (shortly before I left the game) and I've trained him to attack .. so Jack and I have been out hunting a bit, but he's only CL 10, and I'm going to be (hopefully) fighting things that are a bit higher.

Should I get a different pet? And could you suggest one that I can tame? or just keep going with Jack (900 HAM) and wait a while?

At novice you are limited to CL12 so Your bol is a fine pet to hunt with imho. I did not bother finding biggger pets until I could control level 16. But since I am still new at CH I will sit back and let the more expierienced CH folks share their sage advice with you.

Thanks for the advice .. and the stickes are great (I'd read the FAQ one before but missed the PVP one)

Since my BE skills are on par with my CH skills (aka if I make anything above CL 3 it's a miracle!) I'll stick with Jack for a while.
