I'm a respec'd CH so please forgive me if this is a trivial issue. Am a 4/3/3/4 CH. I was on Dath yesterday and found a Rancor (baby). Being a new CH, I was quite excited at this first opportunity. I masked scent and checked radial menu for tamability. It was tamable so I moved in close. For the next hour or so I tried to tame it. All ended in failure or the thing attacked me. That's fine. I expected this to be difficult (I have no BE clothing mods). What surprised me though was suddenly the option to tame the Rancor (baby) no longer existed. Using a hot button gave me the response "You can't tame this" or some such.

Is this a bug? Or is there a limited amount of taming attempts allowed? Did the baby 'grow', and thus become untamable?

What gives?

It's a bug. It always hit when you least expects it and when its likely to cause the most grief

It seems to happen if you initiate an un-provoked attack on a baby, it happened to me, and imagine my annoyance when after spending over 2 hours trying to get this thing out of a guild hall, I can't tame it. I tried everything I could think of besides fighting it, but even when I did scare it out once, the thing just walked right back through the wall before I could finish taming.
