Thread: Creature being pounded during combat

Hey, I'm fairly new to these boards but thought I'd post for help after becoming frustrated throughout SWG CH Combat. I've just been given a new pet from a friend...a gronda. Its a level 12 and I'm lvl 18 and a couple of days ago we were out bringing down humbaba's left, right and centre and finally getting some much needed xp. I've logged back on today and the gronda's now being pounded immediately, I've got no hope! I'm attacking lvl 14 creatures (wrix etc) and they're bringing the gronda down and then incapacitating me as well.

I don't understand firstly why if I'm a combat 18 and the gronda's a 12 why we can't take down green combat lvl's

I also don't understand why, when a few days ago we were attacking lvl whites and winning, I'm now dying all over the place?


Can any help please, seems like just when I get used to something it all changes again...really annoying me now! I need some help!

    hmm perhaps it has to do with your friend not being in your group?

    I've noticed that pets are taking worse damage than before Pub 17. There was definately something nerfed... err... I mean, re-balanced in Pub 17. I'm unable to tackle mobs I was handling easily pre-Pub 17.

    If your taking on things bigger than your pet, keep in mind that they seem to have added in the level damage multiplier for pets as well now, so they are taking more damage and doing less if it's something bigger than they are (unless your grouped, then anything bigger than the group level).

    They seem to of fixed the whole "Your pet takes on your level when grouped" thingy, they seem to take much more damage when your higher level, (I haven't seen them dish out any extra though), so make sure your grouped with your gronda.
