Thread: Can't tame that bug

Has anyone found any way to work around this? I'm on Dathomir and I can't tame one single creature, I've tried like 10 so far that I want to tame. I respec'd back the MCH after not being one for a long time, I figure, with the CU, pets might be fun to have again, but apparently not, fixing to say screw MCH forever.

Does the creatures name turn white even after the "you can't tame that" message? I found that when it happened to me the creatures name had changed anyway so I ran back and go the tame.

I'm having the same problem, I've tried about 20 tamable babies today and keep getting the same message. The name doesn't even turn white or anything.

yeah, I especially like when you are being attacked by some creature 100m away and you can't do anything about it in crowded mob areas because you don't know what to target. Before CU you could untarget and the very next hit you take, it will auto target whatever hit you and you could attack. Also, it used to put ham bars above whatever was attacking you. Now you just have to guess. I was standing near like 20 aggro mobs the other day and was getting hit by one and had no idea which one. In the process of trying to figure it out, I aggro'd even more. Eventually I just had to run away.

Yep
Not to fond of the new targeting system either, when ur being attacked everything you targetflashes, should be just the mob/mobs targeting you.

I logged out for 8 hours and came back, Logged out about 50m from the lair with the babies. Logged back in, new creatures but same lair. Still can't tame that on everything, guess I will be waiting until server reset to get my one or two tames in before it bugs and I have to wait 3 more days.

Must be just the planet. I have tamed about 10 creatures on Dantooine today. I tried a baby rancor on Dath and it said it was against it.

Check my thread on this issue, Its a client problem.
It is effecting almost allaspects of the game in one form or another.
I tossed a few tips in there that may help but its hit or miss.

Just experienced this today. . . really irritating if this doesn't clear up before the end of the day since this is the last day for double xp. I can't even tame a lvl 11 gurrcat on corellia.

when you get this "you cant tame that" message does the creatures name go white? usually it will be yellow. I was hit by this bug when getting my 3 Female Narglatches but I noticed the color change so I stayed with the baby and sure enough at the end of the timer. I got the tame confirmation and she was in my pad.
