I thought someone down there would like to hear what Sony and LucasArts thinks of its player base.

I'm a long time subscriber to the game (well since launch anyway), and all i ever wanted to do in this game was to be a Creature Handler. I have been loyal to my profession and my pets since the beginning and have forged a bond with the pets i use and the others enjoying my trade on my server. Since July of 2003, We Creature handlers have endured a non-stop attack of nerfs and insults from the dev team that offered us the profession in the first place. Nerf after nerf after nerf... I was there. Now they are going to scrap all that i have worked for the past 2 1/2 years. I know that this may seem trivial to some, but I, like many, have 2 years of my life wrapped up in this game. A lot of my friends are in this game… Friends from around the world that I will probably never talk to again.

I'm sure others will tell you about the bait and switch technique Sony used to get Creature Handlers to buy the latest expansion, just to turn and delete the profession two weeks later.

While others will tell you about the dev team calling the profession pokemon from the start, I will choose not to. Even though, we were the excuse Sony used for problems with a game that was released before it was ready.

What I want to tell you is that Sony had something special at launch. SWG offered something unique that no other game even dreamed of. The immersion into another Galaxy was unreal and without precedent. It was genius at its inception, but was lost to a dense, short-sighted team of Sony marketers.

I hope someone takes this concept and goes out makes a load of cash. It's funny that Sony, in its effort to make more and more money, lost the players that were there base. I think that someday they may realize that the kids they later marketed this game to don't have the money or fervor for Star Wars likethe originals did.

One thing I have learned from my time here is many people will send emails and letters but not post about it. During an episode here last year I posted an address that was deleted, it was a place to voice your concerns to the powers that be, the powers above soe/swg.

The deletions and banishment threats cause me to do to let people know I have it but pm me and I would use my personal email and sent them the info.

I got a large amount of people asking for the information. I was very proud of each and every one of them..

We have silent soldiers here, they won't yell and scream but they will put pen to paper.

I have to admit you had me running scared there for a moment. I tried to log on to post back to this and could not. Then I tried the game and could not. I started to freak out. The I noticed I had the CAPS on lol. I'm not patting these guys on the back thats 100% for sure. But the only posts I have ever had deleted from here was when I was just nasty with adult words and/or threatening the devs or someone in the community. I hope they do leave this post up as for one reason. They are mentioning focus groups. Well it's been my experience that most groups like that are comprised of people who have never ever played the game they are going to comment on. Sure they get to play it for a couple of days maybe a week at most but they are not made up of people who love this game. Sure the 1st time I played navy seals on ps2 it was hard. I am a PC player so getting used to the joystick took some time but I would never have told anyone managing a focus group for that game to completely change it. I honestly just dont know where this company come off with chaging this game the way they are saying it will be changed. I understand the updates and how that can affect certain aspects of the game but the core elements somewhat remained the same. If they want to change the entire game why not just make a new one all together. If they want to compete with the other MMO's then take a look at how they run it. I have never seen one change it's game 100% from the base code. That's just crazy. What is this game going to become? Legos star wars? Please if nothing is done about this then my year long account that is due to be billed on the 22nd will be closed, the credit card will be called and told to never ever let this company bill me again. They are taking 2 years of my work for this game, countless nights staying up and not making it into work the next day with leveling and questing etc. etc. And are about to flush it down the bowl. Lets see what happens. Im sure there are people who play this game who work for the gamming mags and who have played for just as long as most of us. IF they dont raise a stink then this whole industry is just as corupt as the darn government.
