When hopping around templates for a while I noticed most profs have a thread dedicated to discussing the advantages and disadvantages of their templates, and I haven't been able to track one down for MCH.

So...what template is your MCH? What's best about it? Are there any weaknesses?

My alt is MRifles/MCH/MScout. IMO one of the best solo hunting and questing templates. With the new CH changes, and when Scout receives the Ranges abilities it will be awsome!

If the current Beta stuff relating to lvl 80 makes it live than any template that doesn't result in a lvl 80 character is only a sub-Master CH.

That being said adding CH to any single Master Crafting profession seems like a lot of fun. I got into this game to make droids. Once I got MArtisan and MDroid Engineer I started looking at the other professions. I'm still working my way up the CH tree but have been having a lot of fun doing it. I don't grind it really - I just play it when I am done with my droid crafting. It allows me to head out into the wilds and have fun playing with my pets and looking for new babies.

I've been sniffing around picking MScout back up myself once it becomes "Ranger." I tried MCH/MRanger before and it wasn't that great simply because you end up with no specials. Of course you can still use an ADL and do decent damage, but I like having at least one button to hit during combat to offset my auto and make the fight a little more interesting.

As a former Ranger I'm looking forward to it's skills being moved to scout. Currently I'm a Master Doc/Master Scout/Master CH. I find it's a great combo, I can have 3 pets going and a droid which makes for a good group. I can solo anything except for things like Krayts/Gorax. Upsides are that you can heal and buff your pets, downsides are that they are looking to change the way heals work and that soon healing will take action. Also you take a real beating, so you'll either need your armor ADK'd or you'll be going through alot of it. A different combo but it works for me
