Thread: Whats best way to become master creature handler?
But wouldn't that be difficult if you just picked up Novice CH and are high CL? Your level 12 pet won't be able to solo anything that would give it experience, so you'll have to do the majority of the killing, correct?
Now, if I am right (I'm brand new to the new creature handler profession) does this change when you can group with your pets? Will they get their own exp as you would in a group of players?
I'm a rifleman/bh that just dropped some CLs to pick up a line of ranger and novice CH. Any help on getting that CH exp as fast as possible would be appreciated.

Ok, here is the fastest way:
Find out where people are grouping on your server. For Kettemoor it is the mining outpost on dantooine, but each galaxy is different.
Then, have your creatures attack whatever the group is attacking. If you are fighting high-level creatures and your pet is a low level, make sure your pet doesn't get the first hit in, otherwise they wil die REAL fast.
As far as grouping goes, the only difference that makes is how much training exp your pet gets for each kill. If you fight creatues as high or a higher level than you are, it won't make much of a difference. If you are fighting mobs lower than your level, but higher then your pet's level, don't group. Either way, you will get the same amount of Creature Handling experience (which is 1 for anything 10 or more levels below your level)
This is very important: DON'T DO ANYTHING EXCEPT LET YOUR PET ATTACK
Experience is divided based on percent of damage done. For example, if you are killing a mob that would give you 1000 exp points for the kill it would work like this:
If you deal 90%of the total damage done to the mob with your carbine and the pet does the other 10%, you will get 900 carbine exp and 100 creature handling exp.
The same thing holds true for healing and any other weapons used. This makes it very hard to get CH experience if you are already a high level in something else without grouping. If you group up however, it is not that long a grind to master. Hope that helps!
