A probe droid is cl30 and the best pet you could have is cl10 so the droid is alot better.A cl10 pet with some specials could be a great help to you SO WHY NOT HAVE BOTH.

Aoccdrnig to a rcsheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy,it doesn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are,the olny iprmoatnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be in the rghit pclae. The rset can be a taotl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit porbelm.Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef but the wrod as a wlohe.Amzanig huh!

The best thing like as said before is to use both. see if you can get a level ten pet that has multiple 'state' attacks, like eye gouge (blind), and stagger attack (dizzy). the pet might die quickly because of low level, but if you use the specials first, the enemy will be significantly less pwerful, allowing you to totally pwn him. lol. so look for a pet with multiple different 'state' effecting attacks. they help out alot.

A cu pa is a nice versatile pet. It can be a mount, has a ranged attack, can come with Eye Gouge, Knockdown or Stunning Attack plus learn four other specials.

ALWAYS get intimidate L1 for a level 10 pet - really makes a difference to how hard the mobs hit amd lasts 60 seconds
