Thread: Any chance the creatures will go back to the level they were?

Why were they changed? All these pets that I worked to tame, spent time hunting, over half of them are no longer usable anymore?

Why were the levels changed in the first place? Why couldn't the CL's stay the same with the CU? I worked up my level to be able to tame the klikniks, and gackle bats, and skreeg warriors, and everything else in my datapad, and now they are all over level 60. This is unacceptable. This issue needs to be addressed.

Everything wil be addressed with the CU.

Oh wait this is the cu, the devs will have to get a new answer for everything.

but don't hold your breath.

Tamed in the wild pets have to match the stats of their wild counterparts. The "uncivilized" planets have been rebalanced as higher end challenges for combatants. So if you've tamed a lot of creatures from Yavin IV, Dathomir, Endor, etc... they're going to tend to be at the high end of the spectrum.

This cuts both ways. Unfortunately this means some non-masters will lose control of some of their pets. But on the other hand, this means a larger variety in the amount of high end pets that are available to masters and near masters. Which is very important since the emphasis is now on using a single pet as close to your maximum control level as possible.

I was kind of surprised to see that my frenzied choku is suddenly the strongest pet in my datapad (CL 67), but that's pretty cool since there's finally a high end natural canine now.

with so many pets over 60 now it seems that master is really needed. at 4444 you can only call lvl60 so the extra 10 max level of pets is a requirement for ch..makes dabbling in the profession less usefull

seems the list of >60 lvl pets gets bigger every day

So, the Combat Upgrade comes to screw me once again.

All that work I did to level up my character, and time I spent hunting down these pets, all in vain, so they can raise the stupid combat level, and now there's only 1 (yes, *ONE*) in my 17 pet datapad that is effective to use.

I'm getting really sick and tired of this bull----

Way I see it.
That they need to make pets level higher.when you hava a toon is lvl 80
Then go to dath and find a level 22 there is no xp. Because it is grey to them.
That is why they are changing them to a higher number.
So it is more equal to a higher level toon.

Even as a Master I have lost control of one. A few days ago it was a CL 46 gnarled rancor. I used it post-CU to do some fighting for me. It was an OK pet though not as powerful as it had been.

This morning when I logged in and tried to call it I could not. It had been bumped to level 79, which is 9 levels higher than a master can tame. This is a wild, not a BE'ed, rancor, so it won't even let me adjust its stats to match its level or whatever, because those are "correct."

I'm glad I didn't have more than one of these beasts... the rest of my pets are in the 50s and 60s and still "callable." But it's really annoying that one of my favorite pets is now ready for the garbage heap. If they wanted to re-balance the future rancors, fine... but leave my level 46 alone, keeping his stats to match his level. It wouldn't have harmed anyone and I'd have one of my favorite pets to still play with.

And yes, before anyone asks, I /bugged it for all the good it'll do (since it is not a bug).

the worst part of this is that there was no warning whatsoever. none.

all of combat profs get a refit or knew it was coming. we had nothing at all.

It's really simple .... they didn't give CH 2 seconds of thought when they rebalanced wild creatures ... same as always, they spend no time thinking about the actual game-wide consequences of fundamental changes, and we all pay the price for their careless, slipshod approach to code implementation.

Masters are affected by this as well, my gnarled rancor became unuseable.
