Thread: Manual Page 146
"Some creatures will refuse to follow you into the water, ..."
Never noticed this to happen, pet or otherwise, have you? I know a lot of the info isn't accurate in the manual, but anyway just curious.
ever notice on the load screen for naboo when they talk about nargalatchs (sp?)... say they stay away form water but are very good swimers...
that is interesting from the manual, bit how does it explain not following on tat??? ![]()

The other thing is now its harder to find out as they added to creature AI to return to lairs when they are a certain distance away. This was to combat all those brawlers fighing Krayts behind harvesters beyond their hit range. Anyway gonna see what happens after todays major patch.
Back in beta, wild animals that were attacking you would follow you into the water, but not actually attack while in the water. This was obviously easily exploitable.
People would just swim through some water and then stand on the very edge of the bank with the critter still in the water 1m away. As long as it showed as "swimmimg", it would not attack, yet it was still aggro on you. So someone with a newbie CDEF could stand on a bank and chip away at decent size animals until they dropped.
So of course that was nerfed, and rightly so.
The manual probably just reflects the old programming.
