I was a CH when this game went live but dropped it. I thought it would be cool to pick it back up with BE. However I would like to know if I will have problems takeing missions or for that matter finishing the mission cause Im not able to defeat the creatures in it.
I know CH was nerfed quite a bit from what it was back when I dabbled in the profession. I guess what I would like to know is if I can make enough credits to maintain things like harvesters and houses. Also, should I be able to kill the high lvl creatures that generally drop lots of meat for making BE pets and tissues.

Thanks for any help in advance =)

Im afraid with just CH it would be pretty near impossible unless you played all day....

Well. You can make a lot of money from hunting/harvesting resources if you're smart about it, i.e. harvest the resources with good stats that sell for a lotThe trade forum is your friend. Still, you will have to spend a bit of time hunting.I'm presuming you do have a combat profession -it'll be really tough to hunt without one.

See my sig - I designed my template to hunt. And before solo groups became popular, I could harvesta lot fromjust one group outing.Even now, thoughit takes me a while, with good tactics I can solo things like rancor and gaping spider lairs. I can even solo enraged rancor or gaping spider hunter/recluse. Though I'll use up a lot of stims healing my pets.

So, yeah,I think youcould make enough to pay for upkeep. Though it won't be easy especially compared to some templates I've seen that can take out an enraged rancor lair in a matter of minutes. You'll have fun, though, if you like hunting.

I am Master CH/Master BE/Master Scout

I have no combat skills. But my pet combo can kill a pair of Slinking Voritor Hunters (lvl 57), though it does take some time. The truth is, they actually do better against the higher level mobs than before the creature nerf, as creatures are not as highly armored and resistant.

It does not bother me so much, because I really beleive it should take a TKA just as long to kill a lvl 57 mob. But ALAS, a mid level TKA can destroy whole lairs full of lvl 80creatures without taking any damage. I think, well I hope anyway, that's part of what the combat revamp is about.

Thanks for the post everyone. I think I may go the CH route. I just have to get the nerve to actually start that exp grind. I was easy when you could pull two pets out and get double exp....to bad that got nerfed lol. I think MCH and MBE will be a fun combination =) Ill have to try it out and see

Thanks again,

Danger will robinson danger. No need for you to get in a rush about MBE. The games economy is wack and every other person is a crafter. Its so bad especially with buffs out there even quality crafters are getting little in the way of love. Its hard to be a BE in a server that has 300.
