I always had my best luck within 3k of Coronet. lots of good low-level creatures to tame, and set your babies against. Plus, its a good spot to get a wrix, which is a good low-level pet.

hey ive heard a good place to find novice pets is karen,naboo. thats where i started and im sure that is stll my hot spot when im just trying to get some quick xp.

get some lesser bol missions on dantoone, theres always about 2 or 3 babies per lair, plus you can get some decent xp from having your pets help you kill the adult lesser bols defending it too.
