Thread: What do you think CH will be like after the CB?

I have been thinking about this, and I honestly think that CH may go back to being one of the most popular classes. There are frankly a lot of people who enjoy soloing lots of stuff (I have no idea why), and after getting powered down, they may need a high level pet there to help them take on the harder stuff. I think CH will also be a lot more prominent in PvP, as armor and weapons won't be as good (which means my dl 67 Razor Cat with 60% kin and 12kHAM will actually be more than a nuisance).

I fear that the resurgence may bring the game back to the old CH days....with pets crammed into every nook and cranny of the galaxy. Maybe not, though, because CH still requires dedication to get any sort of decent pet now.

So, what do you people think? Will CH be the FOTM yet again?

This issue came up in my guild chat just last night. There where a bunch that said that CH would be one of the FOTMs after the revamp, but I asked them if any of them would change to CH and they all said no. Seems to me that if it is really going to be a FOTM that at least one would say they would change. Reality is that CH isn't a class that can be effective if just a few skills are picked up. The ones that want it for soloing will be dedicating alot of SP to it, and will avoid it because of that. While I see our usefulness going up a good deal, I don't see it becoming something that everyone will be picking up.

I've thought a lot about this, too, but the devs have been rather vague about what exactly is going to happen in combat rebalance. Or I should say that I haven't seen a lot of info about it. The ability to stack defenses is supposed to be addressed, beyond that do we know much else? One other thing we know for sure is that no direct changes will be made to CH.What worries me about that is that means our pets will stillbe doing reduced damage in PvP - what's the percent at? I forget. Without defense stacking our pets might at least be able to do damage, but it will still be a small amount. I'm afraid we may not see a huge improvement in PvP effectiveness.
