Hey all,
I apologised via email that I was unable to attend but I wanted to clarify whether it was a success or not? How did it go?
I created a seperate thread as the first one turned into a country flame war which is never good..

Well, here are my 2 cents.
I am quite dissapointed with the CU to be honest - although there are good things to be said about it, on the whole i feel it was major overkill for a few things that needed attention. However, I am going to try and stick it out and see if I cant get along with the changes. Which leads me to the respec.
I am currently MCH / MP and have taken great pride and satisfaction in my creature handling and have amassed a good collection of rares and unusuals through many hours of hunting and trawling the planets. I have great affection for my combat pets, they have got me out of a few scrapes and i feel as though they are my companions out in the wild. I have now however, been left with a huge dialema. Last night I finally got around to messing with the new CU system and its changes with regards to my pets (i work abroad a lot) and find that many if not all of my pets are useless and have been messed around with beyond belief.
One particular pet that I had specially made for me by a BE pre-CU is now level 205 and a waste of the money I spent. Other pets which i tamed myself are either too weak or the CL has gone thru the roof, depending on how i regraded them. So, i thought, is now the time to respec away from CH as my love for it has wained and the profession has fallen off even further than before?
Then I see these threads, and have a couple of comments to make.
1. If there is something that the CH community should know then it should be made so. Neither you nor your band of compadres have the devine right to keep this to yourselves - I blame the devs partly here for not making all the information available to the CH community, but taking this information away from us is both unfair and selfish. If anyone is in the same position as me and is seriously considering respecing away from CH and this wonderful information may persuade us otherwise then for the sake of the CH community you SHOULD make it available. Merely saying that "you will not be disappointed" and that we should wait and see is not enough. How do we know you arent just a bored teenagers with nothing better to do than draw attention to yourselves? (no offence) The CH community is in danger of deserting its pride and joy because every day that goes by there is less and less to keep us here - if your info WILL keep us here then you are doing us a great dis-service by holding it back. This is a GAME and if people want to respec away or to CH then they should have all of the facts and info at hand to do that, it should not be a case of "if" or "when" you stay.
2. If this little secret is that great then people will merely grind there way upto CH anyway (as has been said by another poster) all you are doing is delaying the inevitable by holding this back. In a couple of weeks the peeps who loved CH (like me) will only remember you as the person who could have kept me going in CH rather than the saviour of mankind that you are making yourself out to be, ok yes I could just re-grind it myself but what a waste of what was a good CH that would be.
Sorry if that turned into a rant, I am just hugely dissapointed that certain ppl have appointed themselves "controllers" of information - the devs should be the only people to do that and they should make that the case by furnishing the community with all the details. As for those that are in the know and want to "protect" the CH community - I think you are making this out to be something that it isnt because you wont stop the power-gamers getting these abilities in the fullness of time, you are merely taking away the decisions of current CH players in what is a difficult time of change as it is.
As for me, well, i will probably respec away from CH - if this secret would have been whispered by a dev then i may have chosen to stay but with things as they are CH is becoming less and less enjoyable and practical and afterall, this is a game i want to enjoy - not feel tied to.

Dunno. It was getting a little flamey in there.
Is it just me or is there never any visible moderation on these forums? Every other MMORPG I play has visible moderation so at least you can see why threads are locked.

My guess is the anti-American talk got the whole thing pulled. It is specifically against the rules to talk politics, so I guess that's understandable. Still, it's too bad good posts get yanked with the bad. I can understand moderators not wanting to read every post in a thread. Visible moderation would be nice tho.
Anyways, to whoever thought all this secret meeting stuff was a good idea for the "CH community", I'd say it's clear that they were pretty wrong on that one

The funniest thing of all ziege is that if you read some of the recent posts above this one (pets getting harder etc.) I think you will find that the secret is out 
If it isnt out and its something completely different then who cares? the boost that pets get now (lvl dmg mod not affecting pets) is a real plus point!
I really hope this was the "big secret" , makes the kids look a bit silly
