hopefully there's someone out there that can answer my question

Im an MCH/MBE, combat level 62. I didnt have any pets over cl62 in my datapad when the CU hit, so I had to go and find some. I now have a Bio Gurreck @ lvl 66 and 2 Boars @ lvl 65 or so. - they are currently growing and have not yet reached full adult level

Will I be able to call them? as their level is above my combat level - I understand the old system (and the ostensible new system) said I can control up to level 70, with Bio clothing. BUT can anyone out there confirm if they have been able to call a pet with a control level above their combat level?

Obviously this will only hit non CL80 MCH's. anyone out there able to help?

You will be able to call them, though i (lev57) hada problem with a level 65 wild pet, but after i put on my taming clothes there was no problem at all. And my level 70 BE pet was callable all the time.

You should be able to call anything under level 70. If you look in the CTRL-S (skill) screen on the left under My Skill Mods, you'll find a modifier called Max Level of Pets, which will most likely be +70. This is the maximum level of pet you can handle and does not change with your combat level.

(edit: addendum)

Bertus is right. Only wookiees can tame level 65 creatures because of their racial bonus to taming. That's yet another stat that you have to consider. You can use a level 65 pet, but you can't tame it without + clothing due to most races only being able to tame level 60. Wookiees get a +10 bonus, which allows up to level 70 taming (if I remember correctly, can't get in the game at the moment).

OK....last night was my first day of CU. I could not pull either of my Gurrecks, cl67 and cl70. Going by what you guys are saying I should be able to. My toon is max 80. So now to use my fav. friends I was given the choice of leveling them down or reducing their skills. I'm not a happy camper, these 2 guys have been by my side for almost 2 years now. Which is the better option to choose? Change Power? or change CL?

When you convert a creatures level it goes up, sometimes 200+ levels. Some low level creatures like my level 15 Kaadu became only slightly higher such aslevel 28. So with CL 67 adn 70 I would NOT change their level. You would probably end up with pets in the 200s and totally unusable. Unfortunately this will significantly reduce the stats of those pets.

Rather annoyingly, I found two blood frenzied BW babies today and couldn't tame them, even as MCH with my BE Taming Clothing on it still didn't give me the option to tame them. Still got a BW Cub which is probably the highest non aggro pet currently (64)
