I was looking at another thread in a different forum. they said the 7 sandbox testers chosen can use the frogs for the elite professions and choose to test a MCH for example.
Is this true?
Whu hasn't this been told to us all. Please dont give me the I cant divulge info until told too. we are in beta and everything is pretty much on the table.
Just letting us know our "Chosen Testers" are there working on our behalf is actually a relief. it means afew more weeks of testing for a CH or MCH character. Unlike what many fear as a one week master testing then pushed to live.
So who can tell me if our people are there testing as we speak as a CH ???????????

Its hard to not know anything, but its even harder to know something and not be able to say it. Trust me on this one I've found/seen some things on TC-5 that I have been absolutely dying to bring to the community but I made a promise not to and I'm not going to break it.
And yes people have been testing CH, but as far as I know its just been QA guys/gals that work for SOE. In fact all elite professions are going through a closed alpha before they let us test them from what I understand.

I am one of your sandbox testers on TC5 and I will spill what I have for you....This really isnt anything that I have to keep a secret.
I am NOWHERE near the abilities of a CH
Scout XP is taking FOREVER right now. I am currently 1/0/1/0 in scout. I have rifles which is going faster but that doesnt concern you I am sure.
I went to a frog last night and I could not get the scout skills or any CH skills to test with. I am hoping soon that I will see something on a Frog to get you some better info with CH testing...but for now with all of us...I dont think we have a novice CH in the group yet...or anyone ready for novice.
The other thing we need is pets on the frogs. If we dont get that we have another 2 weeks to wait till they are full grown and worth while for testing. And that would be a low end creature most likely since the lot of us would get hammered on Dath or Endor sneaking around on our own trying to get the big boys of the animal kingdom.
That is where I am at and I am in there every night.
But besides that...I am very excited where I think we will stand.

Im having trouble levelling scout too, i have 4404 marksman, and 2000 scout, and am struggling with 90xp per kill for harvesting, mask scent no longer gives xp for avoiding agro mobs, so there is no speedier route.
As for the alphas, Im not one, but 2 of mu guildmates on live are the TK correspondant and the Chef correspondant, and both have been levelling up with me, and do not have any extra skills.
So I would guess someone is making stuff up again, andyone with masteries has been qa and devs , not players.
they did just announce that after todays patch 'mid level' skills will beavailable for testing, so I assume elite trainers are going back in.

I want to sincerely say
Thank You
To those who replied and our honorable tester for his honesty.
I saw it on the Jedi forum, a post from a generalplayer, not a testerlol.
So the expression take it from the source applies
Sorry I doubted
/Bow
And Again Thank You

No Prob Jopenack.
I will be more then happy to update you all on my progess and findings as I go up the trees. I really hope to see the Elite professions on the terminals soon....if they are I will pick up my current in game template and try to head out to Dath, or Endor...anywhere to get at least a lvl 40 pet. Hopefully that will give enough time to test out something before it is too late (keeping into account the growth time).
I am also going to hound anyone I can to get Creatures for us on the terminals as well.
I am under the impression that I can pretty much say whatever I want about my toon there since it is a public server for all to log into.
I wont say anything that they devs have posted on the Alpha (CURB) boards. That would get me in trouble I think

Im currently aMaster Marksman and a 4044 scout with rifles/pistols XP capped and enough scout to train novice CH. Last night after finishing the scout requirements I logged my character out next to where the CH trainer in cnetis supposed to be so I can simply log him in and train once they put the elite trainers back in the game.

Actually it does. Creatures just have a timer that tells em to check if anything is around to attack and once they do that maskscent will give XP as long as it dosent break.

Where did you go for the scout XP then? I have been working around the cities and I can only get around 12 scout xp per creature
Also...we need to hook up in there if we can...I got the message from Vert but havent seen any of you on TC5 yet.
We can try to arrange some creature vs Player testing as a group if you want.

I have a master fencer friend who was nice enough to grind me to novice
. Scout XP is based entirely on the CL of the creature you harvest so IMHO it is pretty balanced considering that once it goes live people will have master level friends to go grind with.
And you dont have to have a master fencer friend either. I was just fourtinate enough to have one. Get a group of 8 together and hit dath or dant and take out the biggest creatures you can.
