Thread: So, I was wandering around the Great Plains of Correllia this fine evening...

I had finished playing with my harvestors and had about a half hour to kill, so I decided to make a quick GPS sweep. Well, I got to my first waypoint, saw a single red dot on the radar, looked up and saw a GPS and thought, "cool, I don't have to waste a lot of time searching". Of course, typically, i didn't expect success.

So I kill the first 3 adults, store my pet and waited. After about minute, the yellow dot appears, and I of course wait for it to turn red... And wait.. And wait... and I'm thinking lag (I didn't have my radar CON on), and it's still yellow, and then it hits me, so I target it and sure enough there it is, the words we've all been dying to see " Great Plains Stalker (baby)". Well after soiling myself, I began to fumble through my inventory looking for my taming clothes (I'm terrified it's going to vanish, or I'm going to do something really stupid), then I almost forget to un-equip my weapon (that would've made me cry). Finally I get set, maskscent, and move slowly in.

Success!

Happy to report baby is doing well. Dad however, was suffering from the shakes for about 15 minutes afterwards (seriously, I was really shaking). Here are the details for those that care: about these things: Server: Flurry Waypoint -578 2642 Planet time: 10:30 My time 6:55 EST This about the 20th spawn of GPS I had engaged. I estimate actually finding a GPS adult about 1 out of every 4-5 searches. So it was probably between 80-100 search attempts total. Finally, let me say that moments like this is why I have stuck with being a CH for the last year-plus.

Congrats! I've been searching on Flurry for quite some time and have yet to even see an adult. I'm really unlucky...

Congratulations mate. You will be most pleased with your new feline. I use both mine very often while hunting Endor Mereks and archanes. Just be careful for the ferocity. Be ready to hit your follow command a couple times everytime you call it while creatrures are around.

Congrats. I got mine about two weeks ago. Was looking for ship/component vendors and desided to look at a couple GPS wp I have. Pretty much the same scenerio for me, but it took about 15 tries to tame, and the baby aggroed me 3 times. Plus it aggrod some slice hounds and some other prey animal, I don't remember. I had to get the slice hounds to aggro me and lead them away, hoping the baby did not poof. Mine (named Yellowbeard)is doing great. A handfull to control when prey animals are around, but cool just the same. Now I want to get a Swamp Stalker and a Bull Rancor.

Swamp Stalkers are easy.... use the Wp on SWG creatures, you will find a baby in about an hour or so, maybe less.... I have three now, withihn 2 days. I also got my second GPS tonite, AND my second gurreck. Very eventful nite, now if I could just find that damned bull rnacor.....

I do use the wp given on SWG Creatures. I have killed several adults at those wps. I also have 2 wps right near my player city on Flurry where I have killed at least 15 adults, but have never seen a baby spawn. But I will keep looking.

I have to admit,I got very lucky. Even though there was a bunch of stuff around (you can see an NPC in the backround of one of the screenies), he spawned far enough away from everything that he didn't aggro anything. And, miraculously, I tamed him on the first try. I was wearing all my taming clothes and ate some of the almond-kleevu or whatever stuff (I know there is a max to taming bonuses, I just wasn't taking any chances :smileywink. I consider the easy tame a reward for all of my hared work
