Thread: when taming something very dangerous......

I have noticed that if I am buffed and wearing 80% composite, I can just follow it (well wearing +25 taming pants) and it will not aggro even if I am being hammered by mom and dad (the adults). I can complete the tame and just continue taking damage that the big animals are dishing out.
Have any of you had the same experiences. I got a merek cavern creeper this way last night, diseased to he|| and poisened by the death's heads around me, but eh cavern creeper baby just sat there and let me continue taming him.
Call me silly lol, but it worked.
This work for anybody else? I would have had a gapind spider recluse if I had used this strategy the other day.

Yes i have had that happen to me as well. Cant remember what i was taming, but mom and dad attacked me and i dident notice untill after the tame was done.
I only think this works however if you have made a key that does /peace and then tame. Otherwise i think.. that your autoattack kicks in.
