I've been a Master CH for a while and, to get right to the point, we should have some kind of skill (tamed creature knowledge) that lets us see what Specials our pets do. If we can train them to USE these attacks, we should at least know what they are.
Praise be to the people at swgcreatures.com, but it's a hassle to have to look up my pets' attacks all the time. My template doesn't leave me room enough to master Scout and I'm sure this topic has been brought up before, but here it is again...
Anyone care to comment further?

I kind of agree. I'm Master CH / Master Scout / Novice Ranger and incidently Novice Pistoleer and basic medic skills. At the time I went that direction I was expecting there to be a lot more to being a scout/ranger (and for some silly reason I still hope so). But I also wanted the advantages they gave to the CH profession. As with any character template there are advantages & disadvantages, andwe have to make hard decisions about what strengths and weaknesseswe will give our character. I wanted to be a well-rounded CH so made scout/ranger part of my template. At the cost, though, of other skills I very much wanted- better medic and combat skills for example.
Knowing what I know now about scout/ranger, I debate with myself daily about giving those up and adding other "strengths" to my template.Three reasons I haven't though:creature identification pluses, terrain negotiation pluses, camoflage pluses (it does seem to help mask scent enabling me to better "sneak up" on creatures to tame them). So, I have to decide how well-rounded do I really want to be as a CH.
Now, having said that, there are certain things that logically would make sense for a CH to have. Being able to identify a pet's specialsis certainly one of those things. I only "kind of agree" that CH should have that ability, though, because of the template concept that's integral to the game. And what is integral to CH is the scouting/ranger profession. We each decide what kind of CH we want to be. I don't have to be master scout to be CH, but then I'd be a different kind of CH than I am now.
I do admit that my opinion is extremely biased in that there is little enough reason to be a scout/ranger as it is, so I want to hold on to what meager advantages the poor scout/range profession does have

Master Scout isn't enough to see your pet specials
If I remember correctly it's only at Ranger Tracking II that you get to see "both" specials.
Kinda stupid I agree.
