I was a Master CH and decided I got broed and wanted to try something else. I tried Terasi Kasi and it wasn't for me.

I originally became a CH because I solo and I like having some company, even though it's computer generated... doesn't hurt that the pets can kick some butt too.

So now I run around again taming Nunas and Kreetles etc. trying to get back my Master CH status. Now I wish I'd never quit the CH profession. It makes me appreciate the work we CHs put in taming creatures.

Anyone else ever quit CH then come back? I'd like to hear your stories.

Well, I'm master right now, heavily considering dropping it because I can hardly do anything by myself since I'm CH and Smuggler, thinking dropping it for a profession that is useful. Don't know if I would come back to it. I just don't wanna leave. I wanted to be a CH since I saw my first Graul and said to myself, "I need to have that" I'm torn, do I drop CH for a class that is useful or keep it and cancel my account till the combat rebalance.... Who knows...

Ch was my first master in September last year. Its all i wanted to be and i kept the skill for 5 months but got bored in the end after the nerf. 1 month ago i decided to pick it back up and i know why i dropped it in the first place. Ive been to endor and tried to kill a black sun npc with my 2 graul maulers and me half way through rifleman and in 2 minutes my maulers were incapped. I just dont c the point with ch atm, only thing to do really is search out hard to get pets that cost millions of credits.

I had started it once before but when they nerf it there went my ability to call my two GSPs so I gave them to a friend. Well after a while I decided to pick it back up, I got to where I could call the GSPs so I asked my friend what he did with them. He decided to to go CH so he still had them so I got my babies back and this time I mastered CH. and I'm sticking with it.

I gave up master in December for the hologrind, and I'm still working on that, but I will get MCH back eventually. Just picked up a box of CH a week ago that allowed me to call the GSPs again, and I'm loving every minute with one of my two GSPs. We went hunting for avian meat on Corellia over the weekend and it was great watching them do their things.

No matter how much they nerf CH, it's still my favorite profession. Other profs may offer more combat power, but for most of the PvE I care to engage in, CH works well and does what it's supposed to do. Unfortunatley, PvP is afflicted with way too many asshats for me to find any pleasure in it, although it has the potential to be something really extraordinary in online games, with detailed tactial thought being rewarded by the system.

i wouldn't count on the combat rebalance , helping ch a whole lot.....if it does then i will once again master my loved profession of CH, but as of now i am never using a pet anymore for anything just have no need for them in combat..yes i will reconsider becoming a CH in the future but as of now , i am taken a breif leave from the profession i hope that they do get CH fixed again as i loved fighting next to my pets in battle .. well i hope all works out but as from what i can see in the combat rebalance CH is still a doomed profession and that is just sad

I dropped half of CH for a short period of time in order to master Commando for a Holo. But on a different note, don't come back to CH, I beg of you! I wouldn't wish this frustration and anger upon my worst of enemies. Well..except the devs, I would wish this frustration and anger upon the devs for making us so horridly sucky and useless.

It's real simple.

If you want to be useful in combat, don't come back to CH.

If you like just AI companionship, tricks, mounts, and taming rare creatures, then come back to CH.

But CH is no longer a profession for those that are combat oriented. Its a waste of skill points for combat.

I just renewed my main account after cancelling right after New Year's. He is Master Pistoleer, 4/4/3/3 CH (really close to master), and 4/3/4/0 medic.

Since I came back mainly from boredom with other releases like CoH and Lineage 2, I'm not expecting much from SWG. I'm tempted to just give up CH en masse, then start working up the fencer tree like everyone else. However, I may just hang loose until they came up with the combat re-vamp (which was supposed to be imminent 4 months ago ). At any rate, I'm going to go ahead and master it over the next couple of days. Then probably keep it until we get definitive word on what the changes are going to be in the next publish.

If CH is still nerfed too badly to be useful after that, then the class is truly dead as a mainstream profession. It will then just be a "mini-game" within SWG that is strictly concerned with hunting rare creatures for the novelty.
