Creature Handler Archive

I dunno guys, I love my Master Creature Handler status. I have been working on CH since I started playing in August. No grind for me, just using creatures in battle and taming random things along the way. I have loved it. I always said to myself that it would be better when I got to the top. I've finally reached the top, and now I don't use it at all. I only group with a low level creature to gain an xp bonus wile I'm walkin around. No need for mounts because I have my speeders. I don't bother taking them out in battle because they die to fast. I had my high lvl, high HAM, armored kimo come out during a duel once and the novice fencer demolished him. I won of course but he cut through my kimo like he was butter.

I thought CH was the best because I could walk around with all my awesome giant monsters who would lay waste to the world at my word. Now, however, I realize that I just spent 156 skill points to display trophies at the star port. I really would like to keep CH but since Smugglers are getting love at the end of the year, I would imagine that nothing will develop for CH till well into next summer at the very minimum. There was the "revamp" of CH which did make it better. There is just too much wrong with it to justify not having 156 skill points devoted to something that does something.

It was for the same reason I dropped Ranger, it was doing nothing except preventing me from having skills that worked. The babies that make this profession fun are "rare" which to SOE means that one baby spawns a year on a random server. BE can make pets that are way better then anything caught in the wild, so we don't need to tame. Speeders are faster then mounts. Any other combat profession makes me stronger then having a rancor help me. We are stuck with a set amount of creatures, a very very small set amount, that we can have with no place to put them. We can't even decorate our houses with our friends from the wild. I liked it at the start, but now it just seems pointless to stay with it. *sigh*

Am I the only one feeling like this, are there other masters out there who have had enough of the class they love being a joke or am I just a whiner in the masses?

Stick it out man, After they nerf the bejezus out of the rest of the profs CH will be a decent support prof again. I think? If you need to be more combat worthy with CH, go get Master Rifle. I'm MRM and MCH and I'm content atm. However if yer just totally bored to insanity then ya must move on. It's all about fun. Gluck
