Thread: I need a good Pet!

I need a good pet and I am tight on money. What should i do?? I am a Novic CH and only can control lv. 12 pets, i am on the gorath server and could use a pet badly.


Next dose any one know where there are good babies to train?? I cant find any.

Go get a Wrix on corellia theyare a good starter pet (lvl 12)

yes the wrix and the female kaadu are both nice starter pets. you could also tame some newbie babies that reside around the npc cities till you had enough ch xp to go up a box and attain lvl 14, which then you could hit tatooine and search for a rock beetle baby which is lvl13 has ranged spit attack allowing you to tank mobs and order the beetle to use its ranged and have it hit the mob when its nearly dead thus giving you good ch xp without having to constantly heal him, should net you a few boxes till you can use some of the better mid level pets or bought BE pets.


good mid level pets are the GSP (talus) lvl 25, the Grand Wrix (corellia) lvl 25, the mountain dewback (mount, tatooine) lvl 20,and there are various other types you could use.


enjoy your ch xperience, it is most fulfilling if you enjoy pets.

When you get one box of ch, go to naboo and see if you can get a peko peko baby. Sure, it is a little weaker then a wrix or a female kaadu, but it is handy in areas where the ground is uneven. Since it flies, it is easy for the peko peko to stay with enemies, where as the kaadu and wrix may take a little longer to stay with enemies (especially if they run).

As others have stated, the wrix is a good starter pet for the novice CH. You can find them on Talus as well as Corellia.


Another good starter pet is the cu pa. One of the big advantages of a cu pa is it has a ranged attack, so you can tank for it better than for other pets, and of course one hit is all you need for the XP.


These are both critters you can tame yourself, and I think learning how to keep naturals alive in the early stages of your CH career is a very good thing. Going in with too much power can create back habits that will come back to haunt you.
