5K is reasonable for making a Mount. I would accpet that price...any higher for a 10 second job starts to be something I have to think about or find a guild mate to do it for free.

I do it for free since 5k is now like nothing and most people will not pay more than that.

Since I do it for free I will ONLY do it if I have the free time. i.e. I will not answer a /tell from someone and fly to where they are at to train a creature. Nor will I stop to do so if I am on my way somewhere else and don't want to stop.

For the most part I ignore these requests. The way I see it is if you want a mount become a Master CH otherwise tough crap!

I ask people to pay what they feel like paying. It's not a major money maker, put every penny counts.

I had from 1k - 25k.

People pay in relation to how much moneythey have, how important the pet is and how generous they are.

I don't charge. Doesnt cost me anything and most folks who want one mounted need all the cash they can get.

I too dont charge a specific price, but have had a fellow pay 45k, an r3 craft station driod and a full set of 80base comp armor to tame train and mount a pair of BE cu pas for him and his wife 8) so it can be very lucrative at times 8)

I just tell people to tip if they want but 5k sounds fare.

A good idea is to ask people to tip whatever they feel is fair as some may tip more that what you expect.

For example if you ask me to pay 10K for it I will look else where but if you asked me to tip whatever I felt was fair I could very well tip 10K.

I'm a relatively new MCH on the Flurry server (Woo-Hoo!) and have been approached by a couple of people to train/mount/name their pets. I was wondering what the going price was for doing this work? I charged one guy 5k, whichI thought seemed reasonable, but I'm wondiring if this is toolow a price or too high a price or what. Any suggestions?

I am a MCH on flurry as well, and I don't charge. I do however allow people to tip what they feel is fair... most tips end up being about 1-2k, but some are big ...

I ask people to pay with polite tip what they can afford - like u other guys have said it sometimes varies what people will tip u small amounts to large. My friend who is a master droid engineer says I should always charge as for one as there isn't a lot of ways the creature handler profession reaps any financial reward, also having mastered ch we are the only guys that can train mount and therefore should recieve something in return for our skill points . Myself I don't mind I have trained for free when the person requesting mount has been stood in front of me in bone armor or there underwear and a cloak. If you are in full composite a tip is just politeness i guess. i tip for medic healing in hospitals and entertainers are we any different

I just do it for free any time some one asks. Why charge any way? unless your a non-combat ch and need the money, then that makes sense
