Way back in the day, aka the fall of '03, the only thing i would do each day would be to work on CH, the one thing that kept me in game. Ahh, then the dreaful nerf, I tried to hold on to CH as long as i could, yet i lost my grasp. Now I have made a new character on Eclipse to work on in my free time, and i happen to have more free time then I thought.

So Im coming back to CH, any info I should know on grinding CH since I havent played since that fateful nerf?

The grind is a lot tougher now, especially that two pets no longer double the XP.

My reclimb to MCH was made much easier because I never fell below 0/0/0/4, and I had 160k XP banked before I began reclimbing.

There are lots of ways to approach it; one I found helpful is that the static NPC trash spawns around starter ciites are great for CH XP in that the amount per kill is small, but the combat is nearly continuous as long as you loot the corpses, a new NPC spawns immediately, and the CH XP adds up fast under those conditions.

Take a weak critter into the squill cave...say level 15 or so. Make sure it has armor, will save you on pet stims and your sanity. It's easy to find a group with swordsmen, tka, or jedi down there just getting xp. Tell them you are just there for the CH xp. they usually don't mind. You then get like 300 to 500 xp per kill....BUT IT'S THEIR KILL so it's not hard at all.

I to am coming back. CH was the first thing I ever masterd and after doing some other proff. I just got tired. Plus my very first skill was Scout, so now with master CH and ranger 0/0/3/0 I can make good camps (which I love) and still have my babies!
