Hi ,
Looked around your faq,and couldn't find my answer ,so please forgive me if its been asked b4.
I am a tailor,not a Creature Handler , Jim. (ouch sorry,bad trekkie joke)
What I would like to know is , if I buy a pet deed from a vendor for a pet or mount, (I know it must be lvl 10 or less)
Can I train that creature myself with the basic commands,or after shopping,do I have to go and find a Creature Handler to do it for me.
Or if it has already been taught by the owner of the vendor, how will I know what commands the pet knows.
Thanks in advance.Sorry if I sound thick
It's just I fancied a change from my swoop and thought a mount would have more character.

pets have to be tamed fomr the deed in order to be taught any commands and only a creature handler cna teach those commands (as well as mount whihc isnt exactly a command but imparting an ability on the critter) once a creature has bene tamed form the deed you cnat put it on a vnedor or the bazaar all you cna do is trade it to someone

No you can not.
You'll need to find a CH to train your pet.

You need a CH to train the pet in any commands, or to give it mount ability.
There is a bug with some BE pets where you might think they're CL 10, but they're really not, if a CH tames them from the deed.

There is no such thing as a bad Trek Joke
And basically your answer is what everyone else said.

Since you mentioned mount, there is one thing you should be aware of. When the CH tames your pet from deed and teaches it the commands, he will not be able to make it a mount at that time. Most mounts have to be either 3/4 or full grown to be mountable. If you log on to the character ever day this will take about 5 to 7 days. So, you will have to find another CH to train it as a mount about a week later.

And to see what the commands are, click on the beast in your datapad - the trained commands appear in the left hand side, under the stats (will probably need to scroll down).
