Thread: Special Attack 1 & 2 Wont Work with BE Pets

Hello,
Im fairly new to Master CH. When I command my pets to use Special Attack 1 & 2, nothing happens. Im using the /tellpet specialattackone & specialattacktwo command. Also, Ive tried using spatial to no avail.
My pets have a strong disease/poison/intimidation/etc. All they do is their defaul attack. Can someone point me in the correct direction on what to do?

well, they should work if you are using intimidate. tellpet does not always work and I reccomend using a macro to spam
/tellpet follow;
/tellpet special1;
/tellpet special2;
/tellpet attack;
/pause 10;
/tellpet special1;
/tellpet special2;
/tellpet attack;
/pause 10;
/tellpet special1;
/tellpet special2;
/tellpet attack;
/pause 10;
That will get a few good ones in there. Disease and Poisen do not always work and knock down does not work, although the area poisen on a gaping spider recluse ALWAYS seems to work when lol (which can be a BIG problem at times).
anyways this is a great macro for me, I even loop it sometimes when fighting TONS of mobs. Some willsay that is not teh legit, old time creature handler way, but you kow what? The pets deliver the specials a good bit of the time which is a great improvement over not using the macro.
Give it a shot. If you want to loop it, add /dump to your follow me and stay macros. It works pretty well.

whoops edit...
that should be /tellpet followtarget rather than /tellpet follow

This is truly bugged beyond the tellpet bug
Seems all my pets are deaf in one ear not just the bio beasts.
I've got only one special attack working..the other "Never" works...........with or without tellpet
Just put this on the pile marked "CH bugs that no-one can be arsed to fix"

The macro hasn't been needed since about Publish 7.
You could be encountering a couple of problems:
1) Disease, Poison and Knockdown never work on command. The pet will sometimes use them, but you cannot order them.
2) Tellpet is flaky for some people. Some words, especially short ones, won't work with it. Then for some people it works sometimes but not the next.

how is the macro not needed if tellpet doesn't work every time you use it? I reccomend the macro, because if it repeats eh pets specials, so be it, great, more status effects.

I have a level 49 BE'd Merek that does strong disease as special attack 2. Just saw it work tonight on Kwi's. Now I'm about 70k xp away from master CH and I already have over 1200 app points.

yeah, disease and poison never work on command. one of my pets has strong poison and he actually uses it on his own quite a bit if it's a longer battle.
