Thread: Anyone tried the Saga of Ryzom?

Just wanting to know. Thinking of giving that a try as wow seems to be another cookie cutter mmorpg, and theres no way I'll play EQ II. Any other good games out there?

I played it during the open beta and loved it, but marketting/finances drove the release, there's many many bugs/glitches still. Personally, I'm waiting till it's a bit more mature before paying for it.
To give an example, they introduced the con system 2 days before the end of open beta. it tells you within 10 levels what level the creature is, and NOT relative strengh
They try and hide alot of information from you (like what skill progression leads to), waiting till alachazam or somebody documents it will make life more bearable (it's not like people don't know in RL how to become a chemical engineer, you take lots of hard science classes).
