The Death's Head is considered one of the rarest tamables in the game. I stumbled across a lair while on my Screecher hunt, had an adult outside it, and several others, it was a large lair. If you actually got a baby out of it, it would be one of those situations where you sit and wait for the baby to wander away from the lair rather than try and take it on.
In all honesty, I don't think they are that great aside from the two specials they have (strong poison and strong disease, plus the 480-670 damage is probably the only thing that qualifies them as CL56). Armor + resists aren't that good.....10% all the way across....... but then again the GPS I want so bad and the Mantigrue Screecher I just caught aren't great either.
Now, the Toxic Merek Battlelord....great pet, much better resists, and hailed by some as a good PvE and PvP pet. I use my two TMBs all the time, they take a beating and almost always dish out poison. I once got incapped while tanking a large graul lair and my TMB took down4 of them all on his own by the time I stood up.
I've heard reports of them just north of the big southern lake on Endor, and north of Research Outpost, but that they canNOT be found in the desert area of the planet. Just the woods.

I tamed both of my TMB's south of the Smuggler's Base. There is a hilly/mountinous area southwest of the base. You can usually find 2 or 3 Merek lairs through there.

The MCC and DMA are pretty good tanks. I don't see the 12 and 16 point CL difference to the TMB and MDH either.
