Thread: MCH lacks the skills to train BE Rancor ... HELP??

Recently made Master CH (pats self on back) ... I ran off to buy a Bio-Engineered Rancor Level 68.
The deed showed up in my inventory (not my datapad). It had a radial (Examine/Destroy/Tame) so
I tried "Tame" and it told me "You lack the skill to be able to tame this creature".
I thought my MCH skills would be sufficient (Max level 70; Taming Wild +90; Taming Vicious +50)
but apparently they are not???
The BE has kindly offered to accept a return, but I'd rather be able to tame and use the beastie.
Can anyone offer me a hint? This is my first BE pet so hopefully I'm just doing something
really stupid ... hopefully ...

You need specialy made BE clothing that will give you the ability to tame thingsat lvl 65-70, just talk to your local master tailor or Be, BE's provide the taming tissue and you need a tailor to put it in. I have a lvl 69 Rancor and i can only pull it out and use it when i wear my BE's Clothes.

thats just bizarre, does it have something to do with the skin ? because theres no issues taming cl 70 thunes, cupas, and razorcats...

Sounds to me like I'm in for a big investment if I need to improve vicious taming skills by at least 18 ... I'm assuming that I can't just borrow the enhancements 'cause I'll need them every time I pull the Ranc out of the bag!
do I need to wear a funny hat?? What's all this gonna cost me???
Anyone on Starsider who can help me out??
(thinking this is more troublethan it's worth??)

Yes you need the wear the clothes every time you want to pull him out or use him, i use a robe of honor but that will probably cost you the most becuase it has the most slots for the tissue, i think thats what my tailor said, anyways it ran about 100k i think for me, keep in mind this was back before milk was harvestable so prices for BE taming tissue which requires milkwas expensive, im sure the price has dropped alot since then. my robe has +25 on taming wild creatures and +25 for vicious creature. Besides using it for a high lvl pet its really nice becuase i can tame anything in the wild on my first try and teach any command on the first try.

Sounds like something that'll be very useful, especially when you are near aggroes. Not sure how I'd get the most out of tissues using wookiee clothes and bandoliers.

I bought a +13 taming for 7k and a +25 for 28k. Don't pay over 30k for +25 Taming as milk is as common as CDEF Pistols now that they fixed its rarity problem.

O just a fun fact that i just remebered after reading this, a long time ago there was a rare sea that would let you have 4 pets out at one time plus the 3 you get at master, of course you couldnt do much since it didnt give you extral lvls so if you did have 7 pets out they couldnt go over lvl 70 when added up leaving you with like an army of kreetles. Ive only seen it once and it was sold a long time ago on my server and ihave not heard anything about it since, its a ch mystery oooooooooo

Actually, you only need the +taming clothes to call the pet. Once it's out you can take them off again, which although pretty useful, seems a bit silly to me. Oh well.
