savage humbabas are mountable?
Also what lvl are the brackasets as babies? Can a non ch get a baby then use the trade in program to have a lvl 10 male brackaset?

Besides, savage humbabas are the tallest in the game.
to me the requirement is "I want a tall pet" - nothing about speed, agility or ferocity....but a "because I can" thing...

Giant carrion spats are aggro. Non-CHs can't call them. At full mount size thery are also CL 12 critters; they used to be CL 7, but the devs took a look at the HAMs on them at full mount size and realized CL 7 for 2400 odd HAMwas utterly bogus.
Off the top of my head, only two mount types are aggro critters: giant carrion spats and savage humbabas. I guess you could throw cannibal dewbacks in there, but cannibal dews dont' spawn babies anymore, so any of you that have one are riding around on an extinct pet.
Every other mount creature (even a male brackaset) seems like an ant from atop a savage humbaba. To this day I get /gasps and similar boggled comments when I ride mine around. They're very impressive beasts.
The pet trade in will most likely turn your GCS into a regular spat.
If you want a tall mount to walk and not swim across rivers, for example, there's no alternative to being a CH and getting a few boxes (a full tree of any branch will be enough to call a savage humbaba; I dropped the entire taming line and can still call my aggro critters) to call the big beasts.
Like I said, best bet for a non-CH is a lowland brack; I don't think a non-CH BE pet will grow big enough to suit your needs.
