Thread: Use Ranged Attack... Toggle?

I don't know if any of you have run into this but it can be a real pain.
If you teach a pet use ranged attack.
It works great.. you say your command.. a message pops up and says attack mode range set to ON or whatever.
BUT.. there is no way to turn it off.
If the command would either toggle the ranged attack off.. OR if we could get a Use Melee Attack command.. that would rock.

Yeah, this is a knownbug with BE pets and the ranged attack command. It has been passed along to the Devs.

By any chance is the toggle for ranged attack bugged on older, pre-patch pets? I have an old gaping spider hunter (for you other old MCH I got it when they were still called "graping" spider hutners) that has a ranged attack and it's trained but I don't see any confirmation when I try to have him use it.

Yvile, the ranged attack command does not work at all for wild pets, pre-patch or not.
It is also (or should be) a known bug.

The ranged attack does work. I have no problem using this mode. Sounds like it might bea tad bit of operator error.
Use the same command....mine is "ranged"......to toggle on and off.

Definately bugged. Anytime I give my pet the command is says "ranged attack toggled ON" whether it was off or already on. It seems to me that the only way to turn it off again is to store the pet and re-call. Also if the pet gets incapped it will toggle the attack off.
