Thread: NO more CH? !!
as far as BioE (and CH, and a host of other professions)? the word I'm getting (which isn't official, but is reliable) is that they're being removed from the game.
I'm not getting any official information about this, so we'll all just have to see what shakes out.
wow
I didn't believe it when I first heard but it is really true, a new cu lol
CU-2 omg talk about history repeating itself.
Ok from what I read in TC forum. they only mention the professions not changing.
The game is changing to a class based game, meaning no mixing of templates, a bh is only a bh. and so on
The thread with the most info has this
___________________________________________________________________________________
Now coming will be a drastic change in skills. There will be 9 classes as follows:
Smuggler, Bounty Hunter, Commando, Medic, Force Sensitive, Officer (think SL), Tradesman, Entertainer, Spy. Poli and Pilot will remain unchanged.
Most experience can no be either quest based or grinding. With skills will come abilities as well as rewards. Crafters will have 4 sub crafters. I will not get into the large scale of the changes. As there are others that are also having things to say about it.
Basic points, entertainers and crafters will no longer draw agro unless they pick a fight. There are drastic changes to the way that specials work. I will be writing up basic 0.1 guides when I get back home tonight. Those will be in more detail.
___________________________________________________________________________________
So even though ch is not listed in the 9 classes they also speak of crafters and entertainers. I believe this is being mistaken as only nine classes, but is supposed to mean nine classes won't change.
Unfortunatly it means ch may have big changes coming and who knows if its for the better. Taking the class system as it stands and is described by some of the people posting who were there I have a feeling that ch will stay as a class but be limited to pets only combat, in other words we will not have a pistol fighting along side them.
Conjecture on my part true, but I have a feeling I may be leaving before the holidays after all. I just wished they said this prior to the expansion. I would not have bought it, nor am I chasing the necklace anymore.
After all that has happened this could be the nail that seals the coffin. many people won't even hang around to try it after everything that they endured in the last 6 months.

The Creature Handler family is taking it square in the nuts again.
The day I loose my pets is the day I leave the game and never look bad.
It's really sad. I've never enjoyed developing and honing a skill in a game like I have enjoyed CH.

Why would you eliminate any of the existing professions?
Today our player professions by percent of masters is significantly skewed to the core combat professions as a very small proportion of our player (less than 1% of players) choose to master the professions of Bio Engineer or Creature Handler. For this reason, we are putting the focus where the majority of our players are putting their game-play investment -- on the core profession paths. However, there are some elements of these professions incorporated into several of the new professions. Players who were Bio Engineers will be interested in the new Trader or Medic professions as these two both incorporate some crafting abilities. These changes will reinvigorate the game world, bring the excitement of the movies alive in-game and put the player into a more active role.
What is happening to my character if my class isn't listed on the 9 types of new iconic professions?
We recommend that you choose the new iconic profession type that most closely matches your existing skill set and interests. Remember, we have included elements of several professions in each of the “new” professions, so you may find overlap in skills from your current class with the new professions. That said, we encourage players to explore all of the professions during your free review/re-spec period (until your 9 re-spec opportunities have been used).
Well...guess that's it then. So...would you say that Creature Handlers are more like Commandos or Traders?

My guess CH is gone for good
Maybe a tradesmen will sell mounts but that doesnt count as a ch.
Without Bio-Engineers how will players disable GCW bases?
Bio-Engineers are no longer required in order to disable GCW bases.
Guess that means that CH is gone too.

Maybe the reason only 1% are CH is cause they Nerfed us into oblivion exactly as intended with the DEC 2003 nerf.
