Thread: The farewell thread

Might aswell have one farewell thread. You know instead of like 30 or 40. So if you have cancelled you account/accounts feal free to use this as your farewell thread. Hey but this wouldnt be one of my threads without numbering going on would it.
1. If todays news has not made you cancel chances are you would probabally take a physical beating from a dev. Call it gluton for punishment or sadomasachism. Please dont post a I am thinking about it post. This thread is for people to say goodbye not I am thinking about it.
2. Please limit it to farewells and not will miss you since your going. I think we all gather why people will or will not miss us. Lets make it easy for people to say their goodbyes with dignity and also so that people can pick out the I cancelled posts.
3. Be upbeat about the friends you are leaveing behind. Lets not turn each goodbye post into a attack on the devs. We are all boned we know it. Rehashing just looks bad, and more importantly we all know where the devs can stick it anyway.
4. Take your time and compose something nice. Remember what your really posting is an obituary. Your own obituary so talk about what you enjoyed about the game what made you happy who you really liked. If you are going to post 1 sentence does it really need to be said.
That being said I would like to compose my own.
I am going to really miss this game it had its dark times and its light times. When things seemed bleek it was nice to know you were not alone. When times were good it was fun to have people to talk to. We gave each other the strength to persever, and at times we drove one another up the walls. I will say it bar none this was the best forum of all the forums. Good natured people logical and rational. Props to everyone on this forum for behaveing in the best way possible friendly to all mallice towards none.
I would like to give a signing out to ko-alri, neinumb, joepack, lou anne, vertexon, the orb, and all my fellow furry lovers. You guys were the best and wherever you go and what ever you play I wish you well and may you find a game where you are treated well and have a blast.

I changed professions about a month ago and have missed CH ever since. I have never done a double combat profession before so I dropped CH to try it with the intent of grinding it back one day. I still have all my companions in my possession... but will never see them again. /tear

(already posted this in the Rainbow Bridge thread and on Lowca, but what the hell, Dana needs to be recognized).
I think, when the time comes, I may very well 'retire' Dana Starchild, my Lowca creature handler, so that she may go with her four legged friends to Rainbow Bridge.
As Dana, I've had a lot of them, Luna the levasquall and Artemis the mammoth bearded Jax...countless nargs and cats and durrnis...
Yet the one creature that is closest to her in her heart are the abouve mentioned and the Bearded Jax, Darkstar of Despair. (He was named for a rl friend who recently passed on, ironically)
Despie was Dana's constant companion....as long as he was with her, he had the heart of a Krayt Dragon, never realizing how tiny he really was. As far as he was concerned, there was nothing they couldn't do, as long as they were together.
I thought about respecing Dana to BH, but she wouldn't be the same person. Nor would she ever really entertain the idea of becoming Force Sensitive, even when she had the chance. All she ever wanted was to be left in peace, with her friends.
So, when the time comes....Dana and Despie will go. Together.
