Thread: What is the best lvl 20-40 CH pet?

There are level 24-25 (you must have a tape to have an odd number?) pets out there with decent numbers.
First, it depends on what you mean by "good" special abilities and attacks. I know people like pets with poison and plague abilities, but I questionthe valuethose have in PvE. I find that the animal/npc being attacked dies from damage long before the poison/disease has any real effect. So, I prefer special attacks that have an immediate effect on the target, ones that lower its ability to attack effectively (i.e. knockdown).
At level 25, I personally think boar wolf and grand wrix are the best. Both havemaybe the bestresistances for level 25. The boar wolf has better HAM and does more damage, though the grand wrix does have 2 special attacks: knock down, stunning strikevs. just 1 for the boar wolf: stunning strike. (I don't mean to say those are the only good level 25 pets, just my personal preferences). In the level 30 - 40 range, there are LOTS of good pets to choose from - do as fantoq suggested, go to swg.creature, a great site.
As for what people use them for, probably PvE. There have been a ton of threads on the inadequacies of pets in PvP. Who knows what the next combat nerf will do, though. Pets might become a bit more effective. Special attacks aren't working on command the way they should, but if they ever get that fixed then pets are going to be much more of a force to be reckoned with in PvP I think. Poison/plague abilities, especially,could have real application.
I own both a boar wolf and a GSP amongst others.
The boar wolf is the best, for sure, but GSP's are just so much more fun to have around and with Pet Stim b's or c's you really won't notice the difference.
